Clinical significance

YBX1 is a potential drug target in cancer therapy.[6] YB-1 helps the replication of adenovirus type 5, a commonly used vector in gene therapy.[6] Thus, YB-1 can cause an "oncolytic" effect in YB-1 positive cancer cells treated with adenoviruses.

Interactions

Y box binding protein 1 has been shown to interact with:

gollark: SAlts are variants of holidays.
gollark: The rarities are totally different and prizes are untradeable.
gollark: I mean, the raffle and market distribution aren't mutually exclusive.
gollark: Well I disagree.
gollark: How do you plan to test this anyway? Collect a bunch of eggs and give each different amounts of views and see which hatch at 4d and which don't?
