In the 2016 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, the RM of Morris No. 312 recorded a population of 290 living in 119 of its 140 total private dwellings, a -8.2% change from its 2011 population of 316. With a land area of 847.16 km2 (327.09 sq mi), it had a population density of 0.3/km2 (0.9/sq mi) in 2016.[4]

In the 2011 Census of Population, the RM of Morris No. 312 recorded a population of 316, a -8.9% change from its 2006 population of 347. With a land area of 847.16 km2 (327.09 sq mi), it had a population density of 0.4/km2 (1.0/sq mi) in 2011.[7]

Government

The RM of Morris No. 312 is governed by an elected municipal council and an appointed administrator that meets on the second Tuesday of every month.[3] The reeve of the RM is Robert Penrose while its administrator is Belinda Rowan.[3] The RM's office is located in Young.[3]
