In the 2016 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, the RM of Battle River No. 438 recorded a population of 1,154 living in 434 of its 464 total private dwellings, a 5% change from its 2011 population of 1,099. With a land area of 1,061.4 km2 (409.8 sq mi), it had a population density of 1.1/km2 (2.8/sq mi) in 2016.[4]

In the 2011 Census of Population, the RM of Battle River No. 438 recorded a population of 1,099, a 4.4% change from its 2006 population of 1,053. With a land area of 1,061.4 km2 (409.8 sq mi), it had a population density of 1.0/km2 (2.7/sq mi) in 2011.[8]

Government

The RM of Battle River No. 438 is governed by an elected municipal council and an appointed administrator that meets on the first Thursday of every month.[3] The reeve of the RM is Joseph Beckman while its administrator is Betty Johnson.[3] The RM's office is located in Battleford.[3]
