The 2018 Burlington mayoral election was held March 6, 2018. Incumbent mayor Miro Weinberger was elected to his third term with 48% of the popular vote.

Background

Incumbent Democratic mayor Weinberger was first elected in 2012 and ran for a third term in 2018 facing opposition from Progressive candidate Carina Driscoll, step-daughter of former mayor Bernie Sanders, and independent candidate Infinite Culcleasure, both of whom failed to defeat him. They received 35% and 16% against Weinberger's plurality of 48%.[1][2]
