Maldives grants free tourist visa or visa-on-arrival status to all nations of the world for 30 days.[1]

Nationals of India[2] and Russia[3] can enter Maldives for 90 days without visa.

Entry requirements

All visitors to Maldives must:

  • hold a passport (MRP) or a travel document with at least 6 months validity.[4]
  • have a pre-paid hotel booking/accommodation.[4]
  • have sufficient funds to last for the intended period of stay in Maldives.[4]
  • have confirmed onward/return tickets to home country or to country of residence (not applicable for valid resident permit holders).[4]
  • have entry documents to their next destination; for example, the visa.[4]
  • have completed Disembarkation/Embarkation Card.[4]
  • have yellow fever vaccination certificate (if applicable).[4]
