Doug Walker's Characters

Dominic

The host of Video Game Confessions, he's a bartender at a local bar for video game characters. He basically reveals his customers' deepest, darkest secrets. Now part of the lineup on the Blistered Thumbs spinoff site.

  • Alternative Character Interpretation: The basis for the joke, with for example Sonic the Hedgehog becoming a drug addict and Pac-Man a cross-dresser.
    • Special mention goes to Bisexual Link, who yet appeared in almost every episode since his debut, usually in order to seduce some one looking like a guy.
    • For reference: Depending on what barometer you use, the least off-color episode may be about Lara Croft getting breast reduction surgery.
  • Anything That Moves: Double subverted on "Bonk."
  • Arbitrary Skepticism: In one episode, Dominic is attacked by a homicidal talking cardboard box with a gun. In the next episode, he finds the plot of Portal incomprehensible. (Though it's played for laughs, of course.)
  • But You Bonk One Goat
  • The Cast Showoff: The videos are inter-cut with closeups of Doug drawing the events he's talking about, with the finished drawing revealed at the end.
  • Catch Phrase: "You see a lot of strange things as a bartender, and you see a lot of strange things at the Pixel Palace. So I see a lot of strange things as a bartender at the Pixel Palace. And that ain't no lie. Swear to it."
    • "So I'm sittin' there tendin' bar, when in walks..."
  • Deadpan Snarker
  • Did Not Do the Research: In the Lara Croft episode he both pronounces and writes her name as "Laura".
    • Don't even try to fit his characterisations to canon. For starters, it's about a variety of video game characters drinking their woes away.
      • But then even this is subverted when, after fans wrote in, Dominic realised that Solid Snake's story about his parents being murdered was a lie due to Snake being a clone, and confronted him about it.
  • Fake Brit (Doug puts on what is supposed to be a Cockney accent for Dominic)
    • Later subject to a Take That Me in the Nostalgia Critic's tribute to Siskel and Ebert, when he says something is "about as convincing as Dominic from Video Game Confessions` British accent".

Dominic: OI!

    • Doug (as himself) makes an cameo appearance in a episode of Bad Movie Beatdown, where Film Brain points out that his Cockney accent isn't really good and is then fired (not really) for his troubles.
  • Foreshadowing: The "Princess Bitch" line in the Donkey Kong episode could've foreshadowed the big reveal in the Princess Daisy episode.

Emo Jones

Emo Jones is a character that sits alone in his room, his hair in a ponytail, spouting off random sentences and quips about his life, each punctuated by a whisper saying "Emo..." The delivery of the skit was very much in the style of Conan O'Brien's "Celebrity Secrets" sketches.

Lori Prince

The host of a faux news show created in the wake of The Dark Knight, Lori Prince is an anchorman for Gotham News Network, or GNN, who often finds himself interviewing the likes of Batman and the Joker.

  • Development Hell: They've been promising a third episode of Lori Prince Live for over a year now. We're still waiting. He finally resurfaced in a voice only cameo in the stinger for one of Linkara's episodes, announcing that strange occurences were happening in the Minesota area.

Melvin, Brother of the Joker

  • Basement Dweller
  • Butt Monkey: Both within the context of the show and on the site itself.
  • Canon Discontinuity: On the Vol. 1 TGWTG DVD Bonus features, during the video "Doug Character Origins" where Doug recalls all of his characters and what inspired them the last character to come up is Melvin. "That never happened." is all Doug says before the video ends.
  • Killed Off for Real: In the charity fundraiser episode.
  • One-Episode Wonder: Don't get your hopes up for an Episode 2.

Tommy Wiseau

Doug portrayed the director/writer/star of The Room in a one-shot that was made in retaliation for the real Wiseau's company taking down the Critic's Room review.

Wiseau: Poodles.

Black Dog Bill

Host of How to be a Pirate and teller of tales about mighty pirate Blood Beard Joe.

  • Butt Monkey: A constant target of insults from the bar patrons.
  • Catch Phrase: "Black Dog Bill they call me! ...but only because they're drunk, my real name is Howard." and "To Blood Beard Joe! He may not be God...oh wait, yes he is." and "They act like they hate me, but in reality they love me, for I know the stories of Blood Beard Joe."
  • Fridge Logic: Is asked why Blood Beard Joe would make love to a pickup truck. He simply responds, "Why wouldn't he?"
  • Phrase Catcher/Parrot Exposition: Blood Beard Joe?
  • What the Hell Is That Accent??: Doug seems to go between Scottish, Irish and Polish at random in episodes.

General Zod

Host of Merry Zodmas. A disgraced Kryptonian general, who was banished to the Phantom Zone by Jor-El until he was set free during the events of Superman II. He questions many a tradition of this strange Earth holiday we call Christmas, and argues why it should not be so.

  • Alternate Character Interpretation: In-universe, of Santa Claus.

Zod: Why do you Houstonians find such comfort in this horrible little winter pervert? He is a predator!

KNEEEEEL!

Today I will talk about...Christmas carols. Fa-la-la-la-la.

  • You Mean "Xmas": Zod favors his holiday Zodmas over our holiday.
  • Weaksauce Weakness: He really can't keep up with our ability to find homoerotic symbolism with everything he says or does.

Blistered Thumbs (game reviewers)

This is the oldest sub-section of the site, emerging in late 2008/early 2009. Since about that time, there have been plans to spin it off into its own site, but these seemed to have hit a few snags before launching in November 2010. Originally their musical ident was a snippet of a rock arrangement of "Gusty Garden" from Super Mario Galaxy (performed by CarboHydroM); this has been changed to a short piano piece, and later a chiptune fanfare.

Austin Yorski

BT's editor-in-chief. He writes the weekly column "Pixelated Pretension." Former host of the Community Podcast, and current member of the Official BT Podcast.

Gabriel Bono

Writer and reviewer. He writes the weekly column "Freeware Friday."

James Costanzo

BT's MMO specialist.

Johnny Maloney

Writer and reviewer. Has a weekly column focusing on retro PC games, and hosts the Official BT Podcast.

Nobunaga

Lorne Horning is the MMO Editor of Blisterd Thumbs from Saskatoon. Besides articles, he also makes a series called The Big Evil Review, where he plays a rich evil eccentric who wants to take over the world while having an amazing time playing whatever games strike his fancy. Known amongst the Blizzard Entertainment community as The Dreadmist Man.

Robert Grosso

Writer and reviewer. He writes the weekly column "Characters with Character."

Robert Heck

Writer and reviewer. He writes the weekly column "Awesome Area Analysis."

Shaun Kronenfeld

Writer and reviewer. He writes the weekly column "D(LC)lightful Treats."

Taylor Hoyt

Writer and reviewer. He writes the weekly column "Townscape."

Yousif Alshaker

Writer and reviewer. He is BT's UK correspondent.

Inked Reality (animation/comics reviewers)

Originally, this was to be known as "Four Color Fantasy" (as revealed by Linkara in early 2009), and an aborted contest was even launched to draw new talent for it. Some time later, it was unveiled with its new name. Even though Linkara is the anchor talent for the sub-section, he is currently listed separately on the site, as an individual.

Eric Power Up

An animator that reviews his chosen medium.

Happy Harry

A flash animator who rose to internet fame long before joining That Guy With the Glasses with his Saturday Morning Watchmen short. He made his TGWTG debut with his American Akira short (though the site has since gone under renovation and dated the Watchmen short earlier than the Akira short.) All of his contributions to the site so far have been reruns of his YouTube/Newgrounds work; he apparently has plans for a new series, but it's been a long time coming.

The Last Angry Geek

A Real Life friend of Doug Walker. Actually the first comic book based contributor to the site, but the second contributor to make comic book based videos. Yes, you read that right. The Last Angry Geek joined the site as an article writer in May 2008, a full six months before Linkara's first contribution. However, he didn't start his comic book review show, "Comic Book Issues", until September 2009, making him both the first and second comic book reviewer. He had already started a series called "True Internet Story", a mock expose of various internet personalities, beforehand, but he seems to have abandoned it.

  • Butt Monkey: To Linkara in their "One Moment in Time" crossover review.
  • Casanova Wannabe: In his Christmas 2010 video.
  • Non-Indicative Name: The rest of Channel Awesome is more than enough proof that he's far from the last angry geek, and in fact he's never particularly angry—if anything, he's one of the least caustic critics on the site. Pretty much the only accurate part of his name is Geek.
  • Stillborn Serial: True Internet Story

MasakoX

His rise to internet fame came from creating The Abridged Series versions of Naruto and Dragon Ball Z. MasakoX provides the Inked Reality title card and hosted MasaVox, an informative How To guide for becoming a voice actor. He later went on to do Anifile, reviewing the newest fansubbed anime from Japan, particularly the first episode.

Team TGWTG (film/television/music reviewers)

A catch-all for the non-Doug, non-Lindsay, non-video games, non-comics and animation related contributors. Presumably once enough of them are covering another medium, there will be a new sub-section focused on it. As it stands now, it's fast becoming overloaded with movie reviewers, and especially schlock movie reviewers.

Ed Glaser

The creator of Press Start, Ed Glaser spends most of his time behind the camera (except when doing introductions to each episode of his ten-part series Robogirl), but occasionally cameos in his and others' videos on TGWTG.com. He's also a fan of foreign schlock cinema, and was instrumental in bringing the infamous Rampage (better known as "Turkish Rambo") to DVD. Press Start Adventures, the animated sequel to Press Start is featured on his section of the site, and he recently started his own section of movie reviews, based in foreign remakes of American films, called Deja View. He reviews the movies in a MUCH less caustic manner than his fellow members of the TGWTG team, since he does actively enjoy the movies he reviews, and offers professional, almost encyclopedic insights into the merits of the movies, as well as how they compare to the American originals.

Sean Fausz

AKA HopeWithinChaos. One of the regular hosts of Transmission Awesome. His series "Epic Fail" deals with the stupidity and absurdity found in television advertising, internet videos, and general pop culture. Hosts the WWE recaps on Wrestle! Wrestle!

  • The Big Guy
  • Brick Joke: During the sequence in the Year One Brawl when people from each side keep showing up and Nostalgia Critic exclaims their names in shock:

Sean shows up.
Critic: Epic Fail Guy!
Sean: (irritated) Sean.
Critic: Whatever!

    • Then, during Kickassia, when N.Critic is phoning everyone to tell them about the invasion:

Critic: Hang on, I've got to call Sean.
Chick: Who?
Critic: The epic fail guy!
Chick: Oh. He's funny.

  • Catch Phrase: "I have lost all faith in children's advertising!"
  • Don't Explain the Joke: Occasionally guilty of this.
  • Mighty Glacier: Shows in the anniversary brawl, when 5 punches from Angry Joe don't even make him flinch.
  • Ninja: SUMO NINJA! He lurks in the shadows... very large shadows.
  • Psycho for Hire: His SUMO NINJA persona, available for assassinations, assisted suicides, and birthday parties.
  • Running Gag: Sean crying in the shower to Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On" after a particularly epic fail. NEVER gets old.
    • Also the "audience" booing when he makes a tasteless joke. Happens often enough that he was shocked when it didn't and made an even more tasteless one to get the boos.
    • And his hatred of Rise of the Argonauts—which even went along with the "My Heart Will Go On" crying in the shower.

Print/Radio Contributors

The Cat

An anime fangirl who posts written reviews in the articles section. The Cat is also one of the hosts of the Nerd to the Third Power podcast.

Coldguy

A longtime TGWTG contributor, Coldguy was one of the regular hosts of Transmission Awesome. He also writes text articles; produces "Foreign Delicacies", a video review series on little-known foreign films; and is the co-host of "Spine Breakers" with Jew Wario and Rabbi, a literature podcast. He is known for his hilarious laugh.

Dr. Gonzo

Best known for his blog and articles, Dr. Gonzo is also a former host on Transmission Awesome and creators Nerd to the Third Power. His name is a Shout-Out to Hunter S. Thompson.

Nerd to the Third Power

A podcast hosted by Dr. Gonzo and The Cat. N^3 focuses on geek news, especially comics, anime, and movies. Founding father Travis Excelsior left the show at the end of Season 2, to be replaced by Kevin "K-Bo" Bolk for comic book and movie news. K-Bo left after season 3, when the show picked up Roo for Tabletop gaming news, Projectionist John for movies, Bryan Clendening for comics and Skyblaze for convention news.

  • Couch Gag: Dr. Gonzo, Cat and Skyblaze each introduce themselves by quoting a game, anime or other geek media at the start of each show.
  • Running Gag: The cast's love of bacon cannot be understated.
    • Whenever someone (usually John) makes a particularly bad joke, Dr. Gonzo's response is to throw them in the Pain Glove, an offscreen torture device.
    • Cat's headline's frequently include deaths in the anime industry. This has led Gonzo to occasionally refer to her segment as the obituaries.

Spine Breakers

A literature podcast hosted by Coldguy, JewWario, and Rabbi. Segments include "On the Top" (Justin and Rabbi grill Coldguy about a book he's read), "The Newsprint" (lit-related news/editorial), "Brutal Book Beatdown" (Rabbi does an in-depth book review) and "JewWario's Jukebox" (Justin does a dramatic reading of a book excerpt).

Transmission Awesome

The site's official podcast. It is regularly hosted by Rollo T, Paw, Pushing Up Roses, and Y: Ruler of Time; past co-hosts include Aussie, Coldguy, Dr. Gonzo, site admin Mike Michaud, Sean Fausz, and Angry Joe. Each episode has a special guest from the site. Broadcast on a bi-weekly basis, the show is the first port of call for new talent on TGWTG. Segments include an interview with the guest, Awesome Blog of the Week (each host showcases fan-made material), Paw's Button (Paw introduces a musical intermission), and Forum Focus (Rollo T selects a topic from the forums for everyone to discuss).

  • Bread, Eggs, Milk, Squick: The boys have a conversation about songs that affect them emotionally. Rollo T touchingly talks about how Johnny Cash's cover of "Hurt" moves him, and then...

Rollo T: And whenever I listen to a Miley Cyrus song, I get in touch with the woman in me -
Paw: (quickly) So, anyway, onto our next Forum Focus topic!
Rollo T: Just want to spread my legs open to the world...

Y Ruler of Time: "Soooooooo many monkeys!"
Rollo T: "Dude, there weren't enough."

  • Manly Tears: Rollo T has this reaction anytime Lost Odyssey comes up.
  • Noodle Incident / Noodle Implements: Anytime anyone brings up Mexican car washes, these will be invoked.
  • Running Gag: Rollo T's constant fat jokes concerning Sean.
    • Jokes about Paw being the oldest TA host.
    • The Mexican car wash. In fact, bizarre sex acts named after geographic locations have become a Running Gag site-wide, especially with the Nostalgia Chick. (See also: "Linking up with Linkara"; the Staten Island helicopter, the Puerto Rico telefono, the Orlando dolphin flip, the Oklahoma City taco stand...)
    • "Spoony?!"
    • Aussie firing Rollo T.
    • Angry Joe insisting that he's not angry, he's just Joe, and the other guys coming up with other names for him (Sad Joe, Acrimonious Joe... Lactating Joe...)
    • Whenever they can't pronounce the name of anyone on the forums, they just call him/her "Smithy".

Former Contributors

Admir Jusufovic

Apollo Z Hack

Reviewed obscure, foreign and otherwise cult movies. The story made up a big part of his reviews, putting other reviewers that did that sort of thing to shame. Ultimately left the site due to creative differences.

That Aussie Guy

Hosted "Bored Shitless", a production group formerly associated with That Guy With The Glasses. Also made video game reviews, wrote articles, and produced the Transmission Awesome podcast for the site until he was dismissed. In June 2009, for reasons that have remained private, he was let go from the site and all his videos removed. He continues to post reviews and other videos on his YouTube account, as well as run his own video game website.

  • Australian Accent: Duh.
  • Bad Boss: Likes to mess with the other TA guys.
  • One-Episode Wonder: The Aussie Critic.
  • Team Mom: His mom, who has appeared on Transmission Awesome and has shown up in a few videos. Was more or less officially the site mom.
  • Unperson: Most references to him were removed from Channel Awesome and its wiki (except for instances where removing references is impossible--Transmission Awesome episodes, the 1-year anniversary special, etc).
    • Two years after he left, the reason why he became so finally came to light, and it fell squarely into the realm of Dude, Not Funny: he'd been going around slutshaming Lindsay.

Bhargav Dronamraju

AKA B or Bargo. A college friend of Doug's and co-founder of TGWTG; now the site's chief executive producer and M's minion. Best known for playing the role of Ma-ti (see above).

  • Bad Boss: Get's angry at Nash on his first review on the site and tells Paw and Roses they can't date because of company policy.
  • Bollywood Nerd
  • Chewing the Scenery: There's no other way to describe his behind-the-scenes pre-Brawl speech.

Bhargav: "This is the real deal, people! This is like the Navy Seal equivalent training!"

    • His appaerance in Paw and Roses review of Meet the California Raisins Qualifies.
  • Cloudcuckoolander: Judging from his episode of Transmission Awesome, he's a fine example of this trope. Two words: Penguin portal.
    • Do not give him coffee. You have been warned... or you will be weirded out.
    • During his V Log on the Kickassia DVD he wakes up after a nap and says he has to wake himself up so as to be a safe driver. He gets out of the car, climbs up onto the roof of a nearby van, does a couple push-ups, takes off his glasses, and then does 20+ pushups with no rest. He then puts his glasses back on, leaps off of the van, and gets back into the car.
    • Apparently to him getting people to read the articles section of the site involves Optimus Prime obliterating Oompa Loompas. And monkeys washing cats.
  • Funny Character, Boring Actor: During the commentary for The Garbage Pail Kids Movie, he sits through two thirds of the review and barely says anything. ... then again, see above.
  • Hypocritical Humor: Calls out Nash for overusing stream of consciousness.
  • I Am Not Ma-Ti
  • Large Ham: When Bargo acts, he acts.

Chef Protoss

Dan Robert Polsrød

Fool Fantastic

An movie fan who hosts "Marvelous Movies" where he takes a look at movies that are well known. He was removed from the site due to a lack of content.

Goggles

Full name "That Chick with the Goggles". A contest entrant who didn't succeed at winning the position of Nostalgia Chick but still impressed the Nostalgia Critic, she posted videos of "Games I Grew Up On". Goggles was largely inactive on the site since May 2009 due to Real Life getting in the way, and only seemed to find time for cameos.

In January 2011, Goggles left the site to pursue other interests.

Jeremiah

Obscurus Lupa's (now former) boyfriend, who appears in several cameos in her reviews and her vlogs. Probably most recognizable as the main Tommy in "A Day in the Life of Tommy Wiseau".

Joey Castro

Little Miss Gamer

AKA Z. Originally (and still) hosted by PBC Productions. A sweet-natured gamer who mostly reviews classic retro games and fun modern time-wasters, as well as short films about gamer culture. Little Miss Gamer also co-hosts The Lee and Z Show with Lee from Still Gaming, a monthly podcast devoted to video games and wider pop culture. In the summer of 2010, Z started focusing solely on her puppetry. After the announcement of PBC Productions' disbandment, Little Miss Gamer has been taken off the site.

Matt Briner

Mike Ellis

Chief organizational officer—and chief executive sexy bitch—of Channel Awesome. Believed to be in a romantic relationship with Beary the Bear. He left the company in August 2010.

  • Butt Monkey: Gets this treatment in the Nostalgia Critic's Top 11 F* ck Ups video, where he gives a humble apology for posting a wrong video. The Critic does not think that this apology is good enough, and commences with a savage beating.
  • The Cameo: Walks past the Critic chasing the Nerd during the anniversary brawl.
  • Kavorka Man: In one of Benzaie's crossover videos, he keeps popping his head out of Doug's bathroom making bizarre sex-related requests.

Storage and Disposal

That Jewish Guy

A young mensch with a nice yarmulke, That Jewish Guy's segment serves as a primer to Jewish/Israeli pop culture. His other character is Guy Lynor, a metal head that talks about classic literature authors.

  • Mind Screw: The Purim Shpiel video.
  • Nice Guy: Which makes him stand out quite acutely, given that his male peers are (let's be fair to them) quite extroverted.
  • One-Episode Wonder: Muzika.
  • Schedule Slip: He used to post videos on a fairly regular basis, but they've become much more rare recently. Perhaps that's why TGWTG recently chose not to renew his slot.

The Distressed Watcher

Travis Excelsior

Vegeta3986

Other Characters

Linkara's Drop In Characters are now here, Spoony's are here, Nash's are here, The Nostalgia Chick's are here and The Nostalgia Critic's are here.

Bjork

The TGWTG version of the Icelandic singer. Host of The Bjork Show.

The Bums

Much like Chester is the bum equivalent of Doug, these guys are the bum equivalents of other Channel Awesome personalities: Linkara has Lester B. Bum, Spoony has Spencer D. Bum, Benzaie has an unnamed bum character who appeared in his Magical Drop 3 review and Phelous has Pester Z. Bum. Film Brain also appeared as a bum character in his Equilibrium review. The Cinema Snob also has a subversion in the form of 'The Cinema Bum'... who is legitimately homeless and miserable.

Giant Robotic Donkey Kong Jesus Riding A Puff Of Smoke

What the Cloverfield monster should have been.

  • Giant Space Flea From Nowhere: Shows up in the middle of the 1st Anniversary Brawl to fight Super Mecha Death Christ for no reason except IT IS AWESOME.
  • Nuke'Em: At the end of its battle with Super Mecha Death Christ, Chicago goes up in a giant mushroom cloud of death and destruction.

Jareth

Yes the same Jareth from Labyrinth. He showed up in Jew Wario's review of the NES game based on... well Labyrinth. Later returns to advise Jew Wario when his other allies are gone.

Kevin Baugh

President of the sovereign Republic of Molossia. His nation was invaded by the forces of Channel Awesome, who conquered Molossia and renamed it Kickassia, but he repelled them through clever guile as his alter ego, Baron Fritz Von Baugh. The President possesses incredible swordfighting skills and has the power of teleportation.

For character examples about Baugh, go to Kickassia's character sheet.

Behind the Scenes

The good folks who keep things running smoothly. They all make occasional cameo appearances in the Critic's reviews and other videos.

Andrew Dickman

An artist who started out doing fanart of several TGWTG contributors and has gone on to do title cards for a large number of them, including the Nostalgia Chick, Phelous, Obscurus Lupa, Sad Panda, Suede, Pushing Up Roses, and Spoony. He also has his own off-TGWTG review series, "Animated Anarchy". He created a cartoon pilot for Nickelodeon's Random Cartoons, called Ivan the Unbearable. His website is here and his Deviant ART gallery is here.

  • Big Fun
  • The Cameo: He appears in Lupa's "Manic Episodes" Torchwood review and several of Phelous's videos.
    • He also appears in Linkara's "Mr. T 2"... in an intro where other title cards artists are uniting to prevent Dickman from doing the art for every TGWTG show!
  • Doing It for the Art: His Deviant ART page, which existed years before he joined TGWTG, shows he created hundreds of individual stories and characters in his mind, all of which were realized in at least one piece of art!
  • Furry Fandom: He was best known for furry art before his involvement in TGWTG, and it's still a significant portion of his output.
  • Unfortunate Name: "Yea that's right... Dickman".
    • Lampshaded in Phelous's Croc review, when Phelous has him dress up as Douchey McNitpick. "Really, Phelan? 'Andy McDickpick'? That's just... that's just wrong."

Holly Brown

TGWTG's webmistress and one of the Mystic Brewers of the Inebriati. She runs Channel Awesome's corporate aspects as director of human resources.

Mike Michaud

AKA M, AKA admin. The administrator of the site, CEO of the production company, and primary scout for new talent. A shadowy figure; those who inquire too closely about him are visited by a large man in black who erases their memory.

Punky

Originally a member of the TGWTG forums, Punky became the creator and maintainer of the Channel Awesome Twitter feed. She also posts movie reviews under the Channel Awesome blog and helps manage Wiisteria, a Spanish-language gaming site.

Skitch

Real name Michael Schiciano. Channel Awesome's resident composer, Skitch produces a bewildering array of soundtracks for just about everybody's videos. His personal website can be found here.

The Other Guy

Robert Walker—Doug's older brother. Occasionally submits his own text reviews, but for the most part works as Doug's co-writer and camera man. Makes frequent cameos, most notably as Santa Christ (and pretty much anyone who ever has to hit Doug with something from off-screen). Recently abducted by M to serve as the producer for a new channel, Barfiesta (which has yet to materialize). He is sometimes a velociraptor; no, we don't know why.

  • Big Brother Instinct: He usually keeps his calm on the forums and if a NC episode didn't turn out quite right, he'll be the first to admit it. But when Fan Dumb goes too far with insulting Doug (like saying he doesn't understand satire or that the Junior review was lazy), he will rage.
  • The Cameo: In the Anniversary Brawl, he's briefly seen kicking a parking meter.
  • Garfunkel: To Doug's Paul Simon. He actually co-writes most of the episodes, minus most of the Top 11's, but some fans tend to forget this. However, if he isn't credited on a movie review, the fans will begin to ask questions.
  • Man of a Thousand Voices: To the point where he rivals Doug. He even appeared in the review of The Lost World to coach the Critic with Jeff Goldblum impersonations, and plays Christopher Walken in both an NC episode and one of Angry Joe's "Hotel Awesome" videos.
  • Nice Hat: A Joker purple fedora. In the third donation drive, it's red.
  • One of Us: Becoming rapidly apparent that he and Doug are, though Rob seems to be more so with him referencing TV Tropes and Doug mentioning that the Dune on the shelf is Rob's in a commentary. He also watches Mystery Science Theater 3000, and various Brit Coms.
  • Papa Wolf: Rivals Linkara by coming to other contributers' defense. Not only with Doug's work but also notably Film Brain's review of Equilbrium (page 11 of comments), Lindsay's review of Dune (page 1 of comments), and multiple times in the forums with Kickassia.
