LittleKuriboh
"I mean, who the hell does he think he is? He's nobody! All he did was spend most of his free time making a series of amusing cartoon videos available to the public, completely free of charge!"
Few people can be credited with starting an entire genre. In 1818, Mary Shelley wrote Frankenstein, launching the entire field of Science Fiction. In 1841, Edgar Allan Poe wrote "The Murders in the Rue Morgue", singlehandedly creating the Detective-Story genre.
...and in 2006, Little Kuriboh (born Martin Piers Billany) one of a few, blessed people, joined their ranks.
For fun, he made a Gag Dub of Yu-Gi-Oh!, but instead of doing the whole episode, he followed the abridging format of some online scripts. He called his video Yu-Gi-Oh the Abridged Series, and thus The Abridged Series was born.
Later on he started Naruto the Abridged Comedy Spoof Series Show, first as an April Fools' Day prank, but then decided to make some more. Another work of his is Marik Plays Bloodlines.
He also has a version of Dan Green, and plays him as an egotistical jerk who thinks Girls Have Cooties.
His YouTube account (which was originally meant as an in-character account for the Abridged Series version of Yugi, but was appropriated by Little Kuriboh himself after his original account was banned) can usually be seen here, except it has an unfortunate tendency to get banned. Current Status: Not banned.
He also has Twitter account, which he frequently updates. Recently he got married to West Coast voice actress Marianne Miller (who has had guest appearances on his work way before that).
He is also associated with Team Fourstar, the group behind Dragon Ball Abridged, and, by extension, That Guy With The Glasses. He's also made at least two guest appearances on Atop the Fourth Wall, two on The Spoony Experiment, and one on The Nostalgia Critic's review of Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea.
He is also following Everyman HYBRID, and and taunting HABIT every chance he gets. Heart of the Cards help him.
- Attention Deficit Creator Disorder: Yu-Gi-Oh the Abridged Series, Naruto the Abridged Comedy Spoof Series Show, Crapsule Monsters, song parodies, reviewing the season zero manga, voicing Let's Destroy the Shagohod, voicing the Narrator and Frieza in Dragon Ball Abridged, writing his new webcomic Plushie Doom, Marik Plays Bloodlines Let's Play, etc. New episodes of Yu-Gi-Oh The Abridged Series now premiere at conventions to prevent fans constantly asking about the schedule.
LittleKuriboh: I start things and I don't finish them! Have you ever noticed that!?
- April Fools' Day: For 2009, he released Naruto the Abridged Comedy Spoof Series Show, stating he was going to stop doing Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged as an April Fool's joke.
- Even earlier, in 2008, he attempted the same thing by saying he was ending the series and uploaded a "Final Episode" video, which was just a fandub of the ending of the actual anime with a few words changed. It even used "Don't Stop Believing" like the finale from The Sopranos, complete with cutoff.
- Don't forget the full episode of Zorc & Pals!
- In 2010, we got CARD GAMES ON MOTORCYCLES!
- Almost certainly a Homage to Harry Hill's "Ear Cataracts?!"
- In 2011, he made a new episode in the style of older episodes.
- And got himself "banned" from the very community that inspired the series!
- In 2012, he claimed to sell Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged to Michael Bay, and posted Michael Bay's version of the first episode.

- Badass Beard: Grown to play Baldrick. Persuaded by fans of Wha-Chow to keep it for a while.
- Bi the Way: The backlash to this reveal, sadly, will probably significantly reduce the amount he tells us on his blog now. Someone actually went out of their way to tell this to his parents and they didn't take it very well.
- Dead Fic: Most notably Spirit on fanfiction.net. He has a few other fics there too, and they're all SUPER good. But mainly oneshots, or discontinued.
- Everything's Better with Plushies: The Yami plushie standing in for Dan Green.
- And then later, the Ed plushie for Vic Mignogna and the Vash plushie for Johnny Yong Bosch.
- He eventualy even has a Naruto Plushie for his Naruto Abridged series parody.
- And then later, the Ed plushie for Vic Mignogna and the Vash plushie for Johnny Yong Bosch.
- Fake American: LK is British, but most of the characters he voices are American. He does a very convincing job.
- "Faux To" Guide: "Dan Green Presents Abridging 101".
- Filk Song: Simply put, It's an album's worth of mostly parodies:
- "United States of America" (Liam Lynch's "United States of Whatever")
- Phresh Pharaoh of Bel-Air (Will Smith and DJ Jazzy Jeff's "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air")
- Villain (Enrique Iglasias' "Hero")
- Without Yugi (Eminem's "Without Me")
- I'm on a Blimp (The Lonely Island's "I'm on a Boat")
- Brooklyn Rage~! (Lady Gaga's "Poker Face")
- YGOTAS Sails Away (Styx's "Come Sail Away")
- Leather Pants (Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance")
- With a Literal Video version by the characters here.
- And two versions remixed by ShadyVox: "Shady Could Have Done It Better", which has different lyrics (so not really a Leather Pants remix, but using the same Lady Gaga song), and "Leather Pants Remix", a techno/dance version with added rap part.
- Out There (The Hunchback of Notre Dame's Out There)
- Magical Lyrical Punch Chan Desu Kun (Sailor Moon's first OP ("Moonlight Densetsu"))
- Jaden's Rap~! (The Lonely Island's "Natalie's Rap")
- A Rap Battle between Yugi/Yami and Jaden. Live.
- And in Naruto the Abridged Comedy Spoof Series Show there are several parodies of David Bowie songs. The only one that's a full song is "Training Ninjas" from the fourth episode, sung to the tune of "Under Pressure". All of the song parodies from this series can be found here. [dead link]
- "Beelzeboss", -affectionately nicknamed "Paraboss" by the fans- a parody of the Tenacious D song of the same name, sung by LK, The Azure Crow, and ShadyVox as the Climatic Crowning Music of Awesome near the end of the Bonds Beyond Time Abridged Movie.
- A God Am I: In the Dragonball Evolution crossover review with other TGWTG contributors.
- Hypocritical Humour: In Dan Green Presents Abridging 101, the "Dan Green" puppet sarcastically suggests that if you can't do different voices, just use software to speed up and slow down your voice and it'll be completely convincing, before showing a clip in which people speak with ridiculous synthetic Alvin and the Chipmunks type voices. The episode of Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Abridged Series that came out 10 months afterwards then introduced the Moon Steves, one of whom speaks with just such a voice.
- Because he's mimicking Err, whose voice is produced the same way.
- I Need a Freaking Drink: This is what apparently caused the surprising and yet hilarious results of LK's comedy roast at Youmacon 2011. The lesson learned is to never give him and his wife a large bottle of tequila....unless the situation demands a Crowning Moment of Funny.
- Large Ham: In the case of his role of Nylocke in TOME. Just listen to the trailer staring him.
- Let's Play: Currently doing one of Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines in-character as Marik.
- Man of a Thousand Voices: Only Purpleeyeswtf can compare not only in the scope but the incredible depth both in accent, style and intonation for every single of his characters. Seriously, they had become Internet memes by their own right.
- Just about the only thing he can't do is female voices.
- Mean Character, Nice Actor: While many of his parodies are about egotistic prima donnas and/or psychopaths, Martin Piers is a man-sized fluffy teddy bear with a Heart the size of Kaiba's ego.
- Not to mention all his jokes at the expense of other Abridged series, which are all in good fun.
- Poe's Law: Averted when it comes to the show itself as fortunately anyone who knows about the abridged series knows that Little Kuriboh actually likes the show of course. How he treats the other abridged series makers is sadly a different story as the reaction to "Without Yugi" is a very straight forward example of this trope. (To make a long story short it's a classic case of how some people thought it was a hateful attack even though it wasn't.)
- God help the people who took The War of the Abridged Series Creators seriously! (On one hand there is a lot of entertainment value in reading some of the heated arguments that get struck up when people either CompletelyMissThePoint or play along for the heck of it... On the other hand, after a while it enters that narrow corridor between wall-banger and Brain Bleach territory when you realise how seriously some people took it.)
- Nice Guy: Just listen to Wha-Chow. He's seriously pretty nice.
- Nice Hat: His baseball cap covered in pin buttons that he tends to wear to conventions.
- Ooh, Me Accent's Slipping: Mostly averted, though some quirks from his original Midlands-ish accent can be heard, such as the enunciated G in words ending with "-ing", and the enunciated S in "us", making it sound like "uzz".
- Self-Deprecation: Aside from the aforementioned proposal video, he also takes shots at himself for his frequent Schedule Slips.
- Small Name, Big Ego: Parodied. Little Kuriboh has at several points attacked other Abridged series, even at one point making a rap insulting them all, but it was all done as a laugh. Of course, many people didn't get it.
- A running gag in an episode of Whachow was based on a person on a Q&A panel accusing him of being this.
- Stylistic Suck: Iruka's hilariously inept One Piece Abridged in the A Brand New Abridged Series video.
- Not to mention Joe-kage's Bleach Abridged, and Turkeylegs' Dragon Ball Z Abridged.
- Top Ten List: Subverted in the YGOTAS 2nd Anniversary Spectacularmathon. They forgot to bring the footage of nine of the items, and had to play the same clip ten times.
- Wild Mass Guessing: During his review of chapter 1 of the manga, Little Kuriboh does some guessing of his own, concluding each theory with "Now that I've said it, it must be canon!". Basically, Ushio is a highlander and grandpa Mutou has been chopping of everybody's hands and replacing them with disproportionate replicas in an attempt to make his own appearance seem less horrifying. Also the story with Ushio takes place in Gekkoukan High School
- Word of Dante: Actually invoked when LK reviewed the first Manga issue. He even provides the page quote.
- And does it again in episode 49 of YGOTAS by stating Tristan's middle name is Timothy.
