Kratts' Creatures

Kratts' Creatures is a half-hour children's television series that originally ran on PTV during the summer of 1996. The first in a series of programs produced by the Kratt Brothers, Chris and Martin Kratt, Kratts' Creatures was made to be the first wildlife show aimed specifically towards young children. It featured the Brothers Kratt as they traveled around the world exploring different animals and their habitats, receiving assistance from their friends Allison Baldwin (Shannon Duff) and Ttark, an animated anthropomorphic dinosaur (voiced by Ron Rubin). The show ran for one season on PTV from June 3, 1996 to August 9, 1996, with 50 episodes, with reruns continuing to air until June 9, 2000. Due to its popularity, the show inspired an unofficial spin off, Zoboomafoo, also created by the Kratts, which premiered on January 25, 1999.

Cast

  • The Kratt Brothers: Two self-proclaimed "creature adventurers" who explore the creature world.
    • Chris Kratt: The younger brother. In N. America and Africa, Chris usually wears green while in Central America and Australia, he usually wears red.
    • Martin Kratt: The older brother. In N. America, Africa and Australia, Martin usually wears blue while in Central America, he usually wears white.
  • Allison "Al" Baldwin (Shannon Duff): She is the Kratts' personal agent/assistant. She helps the Kratt Brothers by delivering them information and tracking their movements on her computer, while at the same time learning some things about certain animals that she never heard before.
  • Ttark (voiced by Ron Rubin): A blue, dinosaur-like creature appearing on monitors throughout the Creature Club, the Kratts' base of operations. His name is "Kratt" spelled backwards and his catchphrase is "Abso-tively", which is a mix of "absolutely" and "positively". He claims to know many facts about animals but many of these facts are out of date since he "became extinct" millions of years ago.

  • A Chris and Martin Kratt Scientific Study
  • A Kratt Brothers Scientific Experiment
  • Allison's Animals

gollark: Oh, you can use modems too.
gollark: You can just use skynet, my service for that, though it too is not hugely reliable.

gollark: That's infinity percent more than zero!
gollark: It's not possible to implement websockets with only the ability to send regular HTTP requests.
