Galashiels railway station
Galashiels railway station serves the town of Galashiels in the Scottish Borders region of Scotland. It reopened on 6 September 2015[1] as part of the Borders Railway, a project to run trains between Edinburgh and Tweedbank, a village on the outskirts of Galashiels.

The original station was closed by British Rail in 1969, along with the rest of the Waverley Line. The new construction work was undertaken by BAM Nuttall opening on 6 September 2015; it is located slightly to the north of the original station.[2]
