Line 18 (Beijing Subway)

Line 18 (Chinese: 北京地铁18号线; pinyin: běijīng dìtiě shíbā hàoxiàn) or Line R1 of the Beijing Subway is a rapid transit line under planning in Beijing.[1]

History

In January 2011, the R1 Line was described by the Tongzhou District leadership as a line that would run parallel to Line 1 which would be built before 2015.[2] The line was named in February 2012 as one of six new lines under planning by the city's public transit planning authorities.[1]
