Most High Academe's bed-chamber

This bed-chamber was a large room in the Palace of Shadows. It served the resident Most High Academe and their spouse. Its most notable inhabitant was Linius Pallitax, who lived there from 1 ᴇ.ʏ. until its destruction in 15 ᴇ.ʏ..

History

The bed-chamber was constructed in the early First Age of Flight, to cater for the first Most High Academes to inhabit the palace. Over the centuries, many High Academes lived in the room, until -59 ᴇ.ʏ., when the current Most High Academe died, and the room was left uninhabited for 60 years. In 1 ᴇ.ʏ., Linius Pallitax and his wife Yena moved into the room, however Yena died shortly afterwards.

14 years later, Linius fell ill and was bedridden, unable to leave the room. Several days after this, he awoke with the gloamglozer in the room. In a fit of sadness, he knocked a candelabra onto his bed, causing a fire. He was rescued by Tweezel, however the entire palace was destroyed by the fire.

Layout

The bedroom was located on the third floor of the Palace of Shadows, round a corner and down a corridor from the staircase.[1]

On at least one wall there were shuttered windows. The main centrepiece of the room was a large four-poster bed, complete with velvet curtains. Beside it were bedside tables, with candelabras sitting on them.
