Caucus Ante-Chamber

The Caucus Ante-Chamber was a room in the Palace of Shadows, used by earth-scholars for the selection of a new Most High Academe.

Prior to -59 ᴇ.ʏ., Most High Academes were earth-scholars, and lived in the Palace of Shadows. Upon their death, a group of the most senior librarians would gather in the ante-chamber to discuss the selection of a new High Academe.[1]

The room was destroyed by fire when the palace burnt down in 15 ᴇ.ʏ..

Layout

The room was located on the ground floor of the palace, near to the Entrance Hall and kitchen.

The walls were wood-panelled, and the room was filled with leather chairs for the librarians.[1]
