East Turret

The East Turret was a tower on the roof of the Palace of Shadows. It contained several rooms, including Quintinius Verginix's bedroom.[1]

History

The turret was constructed before -59 ᴇ.ʏ., probably in the early First Age of Flight. It is unknown what the tower was used for until 15 ᴇ.ʏ., when Quintinius Verginix spent twelve days living in one of the rooms inside.

Soon after, the turret was destroyed by fire when the Palace of Shadows burnt down.

Layout

The turret was located on the eastern side of the roof of the palace. At the top of the tower was a small glass-walled observatory.[2] This would've become redundant after the construction of tall towers surrounding the palace, obscuring the views and casting it into shadow. On the lower level was a narrow staircase, along with several small rooms.[3] Quintinius Verginix stayed in one of the rooms in the tower for twelve days in 15 ᴇ.ʏ..
