Kitchen gallery

The kitchen gallery was an interior balcony on the second floor of the Palace of Shadows. It offered a view of the kitchen, and smells from cooking would waft up to those on the gallery.

History

The gallery was constructed before -59 ᴇ.ʏ., and was designed for people to look down and view the bustling kitchen two floors below. After the abandonment of the palace in -59 ᴇ.ʏ., the kitchen was left unused for 60 years until Linius Pallitax moved into the palace.

In 15 ᴇ.ʏ., Quintinius Verginix watched from the gallery as Maris Pallitax and Welma Thornwood cooked scones. The gallery was destroyed by fire when the Palace of Shadows burnt down four days later.

Layout

The gallery was located on the second floor corridor, close to the Gift Chamber, Portrait Gallery and music chamber. It was directly above the kitchen, which was two floor below.[1]

A stone balustrade formed the edge of the gallery, and it was decorated with designs of goblin heads.
