Digimon Xros Wars/Characters
This is a character sheet for characters introduced in the first two arcs of Digimon Xros Wars. For characters introduced in the third arc and cameos go to Digimon Xros Wars the Young Hunters Leaping Through Time.
Xros Heart Army
Taiki Kudo
A hotblooded seventh grader who's quite a good Samaritan. Taiki is one who never overlooks people in need and has a warm personality. He can charm both humans and Digimon alike. He usually accepts lots of requests and is usually a busy helper in his club activities.
Voiced by: Minami Takayama
- Accidental Athlete: Taiki has joined many clubs in general, and in each of them he seem able to pull them off like a pro.
- Taiki is stated to practice feverishly for whatever activity he's helping with beforehand so that he can pull it off, which is the primary reason he's exhausted to the point of passing out afterwards.
- The Atoner: Taiki's attitude (not to mention his catchphrase), stems from an incident in his childhood where he saw another boy in pain and asked what was wrong. When said boy shrugged him off, Taiki went on his way, only to find out later that the boy had been in much worse shape than he had pretended to be and had to be carted off to the hospital. Taiki was traumatized by this and developed his trademark philosophy of not turning his back on others in need as a result of this.
- Awesomeness By Analysis: Shows this from time to time, being the strategist he is. Best example of this comes from episode 39, where he reveals that he had seen through Splashmon's deceptions since the very beginning, and just faked walking into his traps in order to lure him out of hiding and to reveal his plans.
- Badass Normal: He occasionally fights and defeats enemy Digimon personally, although not as often as Masaru did.
- Batman Gambit: He used this tactic in several episodes, including episodes 19, 39, and 44.
- Brilliant but Lazy: Well, not laxy but he would rather put his effort into athletics than actually using his smarts at the start of the series, but boy does that change.
- Catch Phrase: "Hottokenai!", which, in English, translates to something like "I can't turn my back on (him/her/it/them)!"
- Chest Insignia: Wears the Xros Heart emblem over his heart in his second outfit.
- Child Prodigy: He's just not aware of it. Taiki instantly mastered basketball and beat a seasoned kendo fighter, but passes these instances off as flukes.
- Chronic Hero Syndrome: Big time. Akari even calls it "Taiki's bad habit" on day one! In episode 22, Wisemon dubs it the "Can't Turn My Back" principle.
- This actually works to his advantage in episode 39 when Kiriha realizes that Taiki's heroic impulses would never allow him to wait behind when his friends are in danger, prompting him to realize that the Taiki he is talking to is Splashmon in disguise.
- It also is what allows them to finally beat Gravimon. Gravimon embedded his core in Taiki's body so that the only way he could die was for Taiki to die. He's about to blast Kiriha, but Taiki jumps in between his beams and Kiriha, forcing Gravimon to evacuate his core and allowing Shoutmon X7 to destroy it.
- Even Good Has Standards: In episode 19, Taiki subtly sidesteps being roped into the whole Love Love Dance fiasco by taking the opportunity to go talk to Kiriha, leaving Zenjiro and Akari lampshading that this should be the point where his Chronic Hero Syndrome kicks in. The whole since is Played for Laughs though.
- Expy: Many have remarked he looks like the lovechild of Taichi and Daisuke.
- Although it should be noted that he's probably smarter than the two of them put together (see The Strategist below).
- On top of that he appears to be one of the most prone to commit self-sacrifice characters since Shiro Emiya. Lucky for him, Digimon series tend to live on the more idealistic side of the sliding scale, so it'll probably come off as a good thing in the end.
- Genre Savvy: Part of being a smart leader and strategist invokes this. For instance, he knows Splashmon's gimmick right off the bat.
- He also has a decent idea of how to actually USE the Power of Friendship and essentially crippled GrandGeneramon by pointing out the Death General's lack of it.
- Goggles Do Nothing: They're back. He has a tendency of flicking them with a finger when he gets an idea, but that's it.
- Gray Eyes
- Guile Hero
- Hot-Blooded
- Note that while he is sometimes impulsive, he has a sense of control, and he is not as hot-blooded as the previous protagonist.
- Hotblooded Sideburns
- Love Freak: Friendship this, friendship that...it seems to work to his advantage, though.
- Red Oni, Blue Oni: The red to Kiriha's blue, and the blue to Shoutmon's red.
- This troper disagrees with his relation with Kiriha. Kiriha may have been the blue at first, but in the 7 death generals, has always tried to attack through a head on assault, while Taiki uses strategy, and timing.
- The Strategist: He's the one who thinks up the teams strategy.
- Supporting Leader: Taiki may be the General of Xros Heart, but it's Shoutmon who wants to be the Digimon King. In fact, at some points, the series seems more like Shoutmon's story than Taiki's.
- Tsurime Eyes
- Strong Family Resemblance: Taiki and his mom [dead link] . Their hairstyles are very similar, with Taiki's being more spiky.
Akari Hinomoto
Taiki's childhood friend and one year younger than him. She worries about Taiki because he is always doing the unreasonable and is the reliable peacemaker of the group.
Voiced by: Ryoko Shiraishi
- Back for the Finale: Along with Zenjirou, returns in the last three episodes to save Taiki from despair.
- Crazy Prepared: Taiki's going to fall asleep! What does she do? Dive head-first to Taiki holding a pillow that came out of nowhere.
- Clingy Jealous Girl
- Expy: She looks a lot like Chika Daimon from the previous series.
- Gamer Chick: She mentions that she's always playing shooting games with her brother at home, getting very odd looks from Taiki and Zenjiro.
- The odd looks are probably due to the fact that she's using these skills to blow the Bagra grunts to smithereens with their own ship.
- Genki Girl: She gets so excited by the sight of blimp passing by a radio tower, she gets distracted when making it her cell phone wall paper.
- Girlish Pigtails
- Shoo Out the Clowns: She and Zenjiro are unable to go back to the Digital World.
- Averted in manga where not only do they stay, but they even become generals.
- Took a Level in Badass: Manga only: she becomes a general and the partner of Dorulumon.
- Zettai Ryouiki: Strangely enough, with jeans.
Zenjiro Tsurugi
Taiki's classmate and kendo boy who proclaims to be Taiki's "eternal rival". Though argumentative, he is good natured and hates things that are immoral/unjust. He tries to take care of Taiki and the Digimon, and serves as Ballistamon's mechanic.
Voiced by: Daisuke Kishio
- Badass Abnormal: Holds on his own against Digimon bigger than him, and can even take down smaller ones! All he needs is the Rare Star Sword.
- Back for the Finale: Along with Akari, returns in the last three episodes to save Taiki from despair.
- Brown Eyes
- Determinator
- Dogged Nice Guy: Has a thing for Nene from the first time he sees her, but ultimately gets nowhere in spite of his best efforts. The fact that he and Akari have been marooned back in the human world makes the possibility of any progress even more unlikely.
- Full-Name Basis: He calls Taiki by his full name often.
- Large Ham
- Meaningful Name: Along with doing kendo, he also fought a lot with swords in the show. What does his last name tsurugi mean? "Sword" or "blade."
- Medium Awareness: Tends to break the fourth wall at least once every three to four episodes.
Zenjiro: (Talking about Blastmon, while being denied about making an impression) But I sound just like him...
- It is helped that according to the interview of his voice actor, he was told to make up stuff while recording.
- Mr. Fixit: Various things like repairing Ballistamon
- Shoo Out the Clowns: He and Akari are unable to go back to the Digital World.
- Averted in manga where not only do they stay, but they even become generals.
- Took a Level in Badass: Manga only: he becomes a general and the partner of Ballistamon.
- Unknown Rival: Of Taiki
- Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: Brutally afraid of heights.
Kotone Amano
Nene's younger sister and the replacement of Yuu in the Xros Wars manga. She was in a coma and trapped inside of a crystal, forcing Nene to help DarkKnightmon so he would free her. Luckily, Taiki and the others managed to free her and she joined Xros Heart as a general.
Shoutmon
Taiki's main partner Digimon, who has a soul of rock. He protects a village in the Green Zone from evil and is a leader admired by the villagers. This hot-blooded Digimon was charmed by Taiki. In addition to being the basis of a large number of Xrossed forms, he is one of the few Digimon capable of instant natural evolution.
His evolved and Xrossed forms are as follows:
Shoutmon X2, with Ballistamon. A squat robot whose design is firmly rooted in that of Ballistamon.
Shoutmon X3, with Ballistamon and Dorulumon. A tall humanoid resembling a Humongous Mecha, whose form is pretty much the basis of the appearance of all of Shoutmon's higher Xrossed forms.
Shoutmon X4, with Ballistamon, Dorulumon and the Starmons. Basically Shoutmon X3 with the addition of a sword made from the Starmons. Can be augmented into Shoutmon X4B with the addition of Beelzebumon, Shoutmon X4K with Knightmon, and Shoutmon X4S with Spadamon.
Shoutmon X5, with Ballistamon, Dorulumon, the Starmons and Sparrowmon. Basically Shoutmon X4 with the addition of a blaster gun and rocket pack. Can be augmented into Shoutmon X5B with the addition of Beelzebumon.
OmegaShoutmon, his natural evolution. A lithe warrior resembling a fully-grown Shoutmon plated in gold.
Shoutmon DX, with ZekeGreymon. A bulky fighter which adds ZekeGreymon's armour, weapons and wings to OmegaShoutmon.
Shoutmon X6, with ZekeGreymon, Ballistamon, Dorulumon, and the Starmons. Exactly the same as Shoutmon X7 but without Sparrowmon added to it. (Manga only)
Shoutmon X7, with ZekeGreymon, Ballistamon, Dorulumon, the Starmons and Sparrowmon. A bulky gold-tinted warrior wielding a giant version of Shoutmon's microphone, adding parts of ZekeGreymon to the basic shape of Shoutmon X5.
Shoutmon EX6, with ZekeGreymon, AtlurBallistamon, JagerDorulumon and RaptorSparrowmon. A large, mechanical warrior wielding a drill cannon on his left arm and wields a blade attached to his right hand. Resembles Shoutmon X7, but is made up of the super evolved versions of the usual component Digimon. (Manga only)
Shoutmon X7 Superior Mode, with quite literally every Digimon alive save Bagramon. An enormous, fully-gold version of Shoutmon X7 with wings, with rings of Digimon images orbiting him.
Voiced by: Chika Sakamoto
- All Your Powers Combined: Shoutmon X7 for the human Generals. X7 Superior Mode is this amped to Up to Eleven levels.
- Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever: Shoutmon X7 Superior Mode.
- Badass: Easily one of the best examples since Omegamon and Masaru Daimon, if not even moreso.
- Badass Cape: Shoutmon X4K has one.
- Badass Creed: Whenever he makes a speech about how he will not forgive the enemy for hurting his friends, you'll be sure that he's going to kick some ass.
- Taken to Up to Eleven Levels with Shoutmon X7 Superior Mode, where he fused with Every single Digimon in the whole series besides Darkness Bagramon, and takes down Darkness Bagramon in one stab.
- Beam Spam: VICTORIZE BANKING!
- SEVEN VICTORIZE MAXIMUM
- BFS: The Star Sword.
- EX6 has a sword called Soul Calibur.
- X7 Superior Mode has an even bigger one. That glows.
- Boisterous Bruiser: And strange enough, he's a kid!
- Carry a Big Stick: Shoutmon's microphone also acts as a mace.
- Catch Phrase: "You want to know, don't you? Then I'll tell you!" Used when he introduces himself, and whenever he evolves.
- Gets majorly peeved when Knightmon takes over the cool part by introducing General Taiki in episode 10.
- Chest Blaster: BODY BLASTER! (or, depending on who you ask, Buddy Blaster).
- OmegaShoutmon has HEAVY METAL VULCAN!
- Shoutmon X7 has SEVEN VICTORIZE!
- Up to Eleven: SEVEN VICTORIZE MAXIMUM!
- Chrome Champion: As OmegaShoutmon.
- Everything Is Better With Spinning/This Is a Drill: BEAT SLASH!
- Expy: He looks like a robotic version of Guilmon, along with a distinctive V-crest that reminds of V-mon.
- As well as towards old-school Tokusatsu in general.
- Shoutmon X4 also looks a lot like Omegamon, and all of his Xrossed forms from X3 onward have a head strongly reminiscent of Omegamon's.
- OmegaShoutmon bears quite the resemblance to Magnamon.
- Shoutmon X7 looks like a certain King of Braves.
- Shoutmon X7 Superior Mode is a mixture of the above with Imperialdramon Paladin Mode coloring. His status as a godlike fusion of many Digimon also reminds of Susanoomon.
- Friend to All Children: Despite still being a kid himself, Shoutmon's best qualities are on display when he's around even younger Digimon- he tells ChibiKamemon that the most important things to be strong are "courage, guts, and friends" and he gives his own food to Lunamon and autographs a box of Diginoir for her. In return, the kids idolize him. In his final duel with Blastmon, he's motivated to keep fighting by his refusal to ignore the tears of children.
- Golden Super Mode: OmegaShoutmon, which is carried over to Shoutmon DX, Shoutmon X7 and Shoutmon X7 Superior Mode.
- Hammerspace: His microphone can be summoned out of anywhere, although according to the Digimon Dictionary, he can only have one on his lifetime and losing it would be life-threatening.
- Hand Cannon: DEMOLITION HORN!
- The Hero: Among the Shoutmon X3 components.
- Heterosexual Life Partners: With Ballistamon.
- Hot-Blooded: Another rare Digimon example, you'd mistake him for Masaru's long lost partner! Appropriately enough, Masaru and OmegaShoutmon briefly become Bash Brothers when they meet up in the sequel.
- Improbable Weapon User: His main weapon is a retro-style microphone. At least it can catch fire and project super sonic waves. And is a mace. It also serves as the hilt for his sword when in X4 or higher.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: At first it appears he wants Taiki around solely for the purpose of helping him to become the Digimon King. However, it turns out his reasons for doing that are so he can protect his village from the fighting that's spreading across the world.
- Laser Sword: The Star Sword becomes this.
- Lightning Bruiser: OmegaShoutmon, and how!
- Megaton Punch: Sparrow PU- I mean METEOR IMPACT!
- Musical Assassin: His singing (more like shouting) triggers his "Soul Crusher" attack. According to his profile, he's so passionate about music that any time he really gets into a song, he can accidentally set off the attack.
- Our Hero Is Dead
- Back from the Dead: An episode later, unsurprisingly.
- Pint-Sized Powerhouse: His attacks even when not Xrossed are quite powerful, capable of taking down huge foes.
- He also was able to save Greymon (who caught MailBirdramon from falling!) from dropping to a hole by holding the large dinosaur's tail.
MailBirdramon: He carried...the both of us?!
Greymon: What insane strength!
- Playing with Fire: A number of his attacks throughout his various forms are fire-elemental.
- Power Gives You Wings: Shoutmon X7 Superior Mode has glowing wings of light, making him look quite like an avenging angel.
- The Power of Rock: The theme of most of his attacks. To wit: Rowdy Rocker, Rock Tamashii (Soul), Chord Crusher, Beat Slash, Heavy Metal Vulcan and Trident Justfang (Jazz Funk).
- Pre-Ass-Kicking One-Liner: In the final episode of Xros Wars, I AM THE FUTURE DIGIMON KING!
- Precision-Guided Boomerang: VICTORIZE BOOMERANG!
- Puppy Dog Eyes: For a Mon who looks vaguely demonic, Shoutmon can employ this technique very effectively. So far, he has done it to dissuade Taiki from leaving and to persuade Taiki to have ChibiKamemon to join Xros Heart.
- Screaming Warrior: As befit of his name, he doesn't have much of an indoor voice.
- Shaping Your Attacks: OMEGA THE FUSION!
- Super Mode: X7 Superior Mode is this for Shoutmon X7.
- Sword Beam: THREE VICTORIZE!
- One attack is like a super-buffed version of Three Victorize...METEOR SWORD ATTACK!
- BURNING STAR CRUSHER!
Ballistamon
Shoutmon's longtime partner in battle. He's an honest, warrior-like Digimon with a taciturn nature. He becomes a shield for his allies with his awesome power and armor. He combines with Shoutmon to become Shoutmon X2, and from there provides the basis of all of Shoutmon's Xrossed forms. He was a former pirate who drifted to the Village of Smiles, to which Shoutmon fought and then befriended by fixing him up.
His evolved and Xrossed forms are as follows:
DarkVolumon, his former identity/form before meeting Shoutmon. An all-blue war machine constructed by Olegmon, he resembles a reconfiguration of Ballistamon's components and uses dangerously powerful speakers in combat.
BalliBastemon, with Bastemon. A really, really bizarre mashup of the two, throwing Bastemon's arms, head and clothing onto Ballistamon's body.
Ballistamon Sextet Launcher, with Dorulumon. Ballistamon gains several cannons added to his body. (Manga only)
AtlurBallistamon, his natural evolution. A larger, bulkier, more armored version of Ballistamon with extra arms. (Manga only)
Voiced by: Takeshi Kusao
- Becoming the Mask
- The Big Guy
- Dark and Troubled Past
- Deadpan Snarker: Can act as this sometimes as a foil to Shoutmon.
- Expy: He's kinda like a red and blue version of Blitzmon, who in turn was based on the evolutionary family of Tentomon.
- Gentle Giant
- Heterosexual Life Partners: With Shoutmon.
- Hidden Depths: He may be silent and somewhat silly, but he is a true friend who will stick to you no matter what. Oddly, he also seems to have an appreciation for the arts.
- Japanese Beetle Brothers: Ballistamon himself is a robotic hercules beetle while DarkVolumon is a robot stag beetle.
- Lethal Joke Xros: BalliBastemon actually turned out to be a more-than-competent fighter in the final battle against Bagramon.
- Make Me Wanna Shout: HEAVY SPEAKER!
- Matter Replicator: He builds the Wrister communicators (among other things) inside his body. (Where he stores the parts for them is anyone's guess.)
- Megaton Punch: ARM BUNKER!
- The Quiet One
- Robot Buddy: To Zenjirou and Shoutmon more than anyone else
- Rocket Punch: ROCKET BUNKER! (Manga only)
- Shock and Awe: PLASMA CRACK! (Manga only)
- Spell My Name with an "S"
- Super-Powered Evil Side: As DarkVolumon.
- Use Your Head: HORN BREAKER!
- Wholesome Crossdresser: This is honestly the only thing we can describe BalliBastemon as. Besides kind of disturbing.
Dorulumon
A loner who ends up becoming part of Xros Heart. His battle ability is high, but he hates being commanded or bound by rules. He's a cool vagabond. He combines with Shoutmon and Ballistamon to form Shoutmon X3, and from there forms the basis of the rest of Shoutmon's Xrossed forms.
His evolved and Xrossed forms are as follows:
JagerDorulumon, his natural evolution. A bipedal, armored version of Dorulumon wielding a drill-topped staff. (Manga only)
Voiced by: Takahiro Sakurai
- Beware My Stinger Tail: His tail has a drill on the end that grows when needed. With that said...DORULU TORNADO!
- DRILL BLADER!
- Big Badass Wolf: How big is he? In the Sand Zone arc, he took up 90% of the space of a cart, forcing the quite big himself Ballistamon to hang on in back. Oh, and like Tiger he's quite the Badass.
- The Comically Serious: Usually due to his Tsundere and "cool, tough guy" nature.
- Dynamic Entry: He likes to save his companions by performing a surprise tackle. He even does it on freakin' Tactimon!
- Everything Is Better With Spinning: DORULU TORNADO!, DRILL BLADER!, and WEIß SPIRALE! (The last is Manga only)
- Expy: Shares a remarkable resemblance with Tiger. Furthermore, his name and looks are also derived from Garurumon.
- Heel Face Turn: He used to work for the Bagra army, but left them after they fired on his platoon in order to take out an enemy.
- Ineffectual Loner
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold
- The Lancer
- Papa Wolf: Towards Cutemon.
- Spell My Name with an "S": Dorurumon or Dorulumon?
- FTR, the Monitamon (and all other official materials) goes with Dorulumon.
- The confusion is brought up again in the new DigiXros sequence using the spelling "Dorurumon".
- FTR, the Monitamon (and all other official materials) goes with Dorulumon.
- The Straight Man: He has been known to sit out on Xros's Hearts sillier adventures.
- But it looks like he couldn't resist Cutemon's pleas.
- This Is a Drill
- Tsundere: Some episodes depict him as this.
- Wolverine Claws: SCHWARZ NAGEL! (Manga only)
Cutemon
A friend of Dorulumon, who hates the sight of tears.
His evolved and Xrossed forms are as follows:
GreatestCutemon, with ChibiKamemon, Dondokomon, Bastemon and Knightmon & the PawnChessmons. A goofy-looking Biological Mashup with a drum for a stomach.
Voiced by: Houko Kuwashima
- Expy: He's rather similar in design to Terriermon and Lopmon.
- Head Pet: To Akari, at least in the opening
- Healing Hands
- Killer Rabbit: Averted. Cutemon's attacks don't actually do any damage, and only serve to heal or energize his comrades.
- In the final episode, he does use an offensive attack (Supersonic Wave).
- Muscles Are Meaningless: He somehow managed to lift a rather large rock and throw it onto Shoutmon's head.
- Peach is a Boy/FunnyBackgroundEvent: In the episode where he finally loudly announces his gender to the rest of Xros Heart, Shoutmon's expression afterward clearly shows he's pretty shocked by this as well.
- Ridiculously Cute Critter
- Took a Level in Badass: The events of episode 29 have made many people think this.
- Taken further when he is Xrossed into GreatestCutemon
- Then there's his actions in the final episode, where he attacks Bagramon to try to save Taiki, despite hating combat and knowing full well he can't do anything.
- Unusual Ears/Hair Antennae: Those "ears" you see? They aren't Cutemon's rabbit ears. They are his antennae. According to the Digimon Dictionary, he uses it to sense incoming Digimon.
- Verbal Tic: Kyu!
Starmon and the Pickmons
Shoutmon's "otoutobun" (Shoutmon treats him like a younger brother) who greatly admires Shoutmon, and fights by flying through the air. He is in command of a number of Pickmons, which are part of his Meteor Squall attack.
There are three varieties of Pickmon. The most common are the silver ones, who appear armored and wear shades similar to Starmon's. Then there's the yellow, more friendly looking Pickmon (who can spit out small clones called Chibickmon), and finally, the red Pickmon, who seems to be unique and has attached himself to Zenjirou.
Their evolved and Xrossed forms are as follows:
The Star Sword, consisting of Starmon and various combinations of Pickmons. A blade that's been used by both Shoutmon and Zenjiro at some points; they also contribute to Shoutmon X4 and X5 by forming a larger Star Sword for him. Each Pickmon combination creates a different variation on the Star Sword.
ShootingStarmon, a Jogress evolution of Starmon with all of the Pickmons, and effectively Starmon's natural evolution. A more ornate and spiky Starmon attached to a meteor. (Manga only)
Starmon voiced by: Bin Shimada
Pickmons voiced by: Kokoro Kikuchi
- An Axe to Grind: The yellow Pickmon combine to form this.
- Asteroids Monster: The yellow Pickmons can spawn Chibickmon by spitting them out of their mouths.
- BFS: Starmon and the silver Pickmons turn to this for Shoutmon X4.
- Blush Sticker: The yellow Pickmon have 'em.
- Cool Shades: Starmon and the silver Pickmons have them.
- Cool Sword: Formed from the standard combination using the silver-colored Pickmons.
- Expy: Averted. He's named after but looks nothing like the existing Starmon seen in earlier versions of the franchise. It does, however, resemble a simplified SuperStarmon, at least in the color and shades.
- Flaming Sword: What the Star Blade tends to look like.
- Funny Background Event: Pay attention to the red Pickmon during group shots.
- Gratuitous English: Starmon refers to Shoutmon as "brother" and once said "Unbelievable."
- Head Pet: The red Pickmon is this for Zenjirou.
- Laser Sword: Their combined form with the red Pickmon turns the Star Blade into this.
- Ridiculously Cute Critter: The Chibickmons.
- Running Gag: Whenever they form the Star Sword using the Red Pickmon, he shouts off something completely random.
Red Pickmon: BANANA BOAT!
- Satellite Character: The Pickmons are this for Starmon. In both the literal and figurative sense.
ChibiKamemon
A wide-eyed young Digimon who looks up to Shoutmon. Xros Heart met him in the Island Zone area, and after helping them defeat the Bagra army and to secure the island's Code Crown, he ended up joining Xros Heart. Like Shoutmon, he wants to fight to protect the people important to him, and has bravery beyond his small size.
His evolved and Xrossed forms are as follows:
GolemJijiKamemon, with Golemon and Jijimon. ChibiKamemon gains Golemon's arms and strength, and the mane and...propulsion ability...of Jijimon.
Voiced by: Ryoko Shiraishi
- Expy: He's a smaller, more child-like version of Kamemon from Digimon Savers.
- Super Not-Drowning Skills: His Xros with Shoutmon X2 allows the latter to achieve this.
- Tagalong Kid
- Turtle Power
- Verbal Tic: Kame!
Jijimon
The elder of the Village of Smiles, who ends up traveling with Xros Heart when they begin searching for the Code Crown. He's useful for dispensing information, but sometimes, he doesn't know quite as much as he lets on.
Voiced by: Bin Shimada
- Badass Grandpa: He's not exactly The Obi-Wan, but he's still capable of giving Shoutmon a well deserved knock to the head.
- Eccentric Mentor: He's knowledgeable, but also forgets thinks and is just as prone to getting excited and comic relief as the others. Basically, he's been around, but he's not exactly The Obi-Wan or anything.
- Gasshole: Played up in relation to his old age, to the point where his DigiXros sequences have him coughing and spluttering.
- Simple Staff: Except it has a gigantic cat's paw on it. Jijimon can balance on it and use it as a makeshift perch.
Dondokomon
Basically, a living taiko drum. Dondokomon is one of the residents of the Village of Smiles who ends up traveling with Taiki and Xros Heart. He loves festivals, and never misses an opportunity to celebrate...even if it's in the middle of a battle.
Voiced by: Takahiro Sakurai
- Animate Inanimate Object: One of numerous Digimon based on a real object.
- Drum Roll, Please: In episode 21 he appears out of nowhere, drumming after Taiki saves Nene.
- Image Song: Titled "Dondokomon de Moriagare!!"
- Life of the Party: Even if it's in his own mind.
- Out of Focus: He hasn't shown up as much as his being in the theme song would make you think he would.
- Theme Music Power-Up: No, seriously, this is basically what his attacks do.
Knightmon and the PawnChessmons
Knightmon is an armored Digimon who commands the armies of PawnChessmons in the Lake Zone under Bastemon. He was rescued near death by Taiki, and after the Lake Zone is secured he joins Xros Heart along with a squadron of PawnChessmons.
His evolved and Xrossed forms are as follows:
Knightmon Wise Sword Mode, with Wisemon. Knightmon gains Wisemon's scarf, and his sword is transformed into the Wise Sword, an enormous blade which flings energy beams.
Knightmon voiced by: Masaki Terasoma
- Badass Cape
- Barrier Warrior: Working in unison, they can produce a force field with their shields.
- BFS: Knightmon's main weapon. It gets even bigger as Knightmon Wise Sword Mode.
- Blade on a Stick: The PawnChessmons' main weapon.

- Large Ham: KNIGHTO~
- Luckily, My Shield Will Protect Me
- Mecha Expansion Pack: Wisemon acts as one to form Knightmon Wise Sword Mode in the finale.
- Power Gives You Wings: Or at least, it gives his sword wings.
- Satellite Character: The PawnChessmons, much like the Pickmons before them.
- Scarf of Asskicking: As Knightmon Wise Sword Mode.
- Sword Beam: His primary mode of offence as Knightmon Wise Sword Mode.
- Wonder Twin Powers: The force field trick seems like something they can only do as a group.
Bastemon
A cat Digimon who is the princess of Lake Zone. She seems somewhat incompetent, as she sleeps for most of the day. After Xros Heart frees Lake Zone, she joins them.
Voiced by: Tomomi Kasai
- Catgirl
- Cute Little Fangs
- Dub Name Change: She was known as Persiamon in Digimon World 3, but some other English materials keep the name Bastemon.
- Egyptian Mythology: Named for Bast or Bastet, the goddess of cats.
- Everything's Better with Princesses
- Our Vampires Are Different: According to her official profile, she's a vampire. That may not come into play in this story, though.
- Slasher Smile: Upon seeing ChuuChuumon...then she eats him.
Revolmon
A Digimon with a gun for a body, having a cowboy motif. He joins Xros Heart after testing the group's heart.
Voiced by: Junko Minagawa
- Chest Blaster: Has a huge gun for a body, and he carries two smaller guns!
- Cowboy
- Dub Name Change: He was called "Deputymon" in the dub of Digimon Adventure 02.
- The Faceless: he only has glowing eyes like a Black Mage, although that black area seems to be his head, according to Digimon Adventure 02.
- The Gunslinger: He literally is a gun man!
- Leitmotif: He's the only character that has a specific tune (DigiMelodies not counting) that is played whenever he is called - a whistling Western-style tune.
Beelzebumon
An aloof demon lord Digimon resembling a winged knight. He is the reincarnation of Baalmon, who sacrificed himself to save Shoutmon X4. He can DigiXros with Shoutmon X4 and X5 to become X4B and X5B, and has Xrosses with other Digimon as well.
His evolved and Xrossed forms are as follows:
Baalmon, his identity before being revived from the dead. See below.
An unnamed Digimon, with Revolmon. Revolmon forms a second Arm Cannon for Beelzebumon.
Voiced by: Daisuke Kishio

- He gains a second when he DigiXrosses with Revolmon.
- The Atoner: Atoning for the crimes he committed as Baalmon.
- Back from the Dead: In the final episode.
- Beam Spam: DigiXrossing with Starmon allows him to pull this off.
- BFG: The aforementioned Berenjena SDX and DigiXros with Revolmon.
- Dark Is Not Evil: Even more so than the original Beelzebumon. He has a noble, knight-like personality, yet...well, everything else about him right down to his name.
- Dual-Wielding: Has the Berenjena SDX mounted on one arm, and the other holds the same double barreled pistol as his Digimon Tamers predecessor. The same is true for his DigiXros with Revolmon.
- Expy: Of the original Beelzebumon, of course.
- Extra Eyes: Has three eyes
- Good Wings, Evil Wings: Black angelic-type ones like Beelzebumon Blast Mode's wings
- Heroic Sacrifice
- Leitmotif: The chime that plays whenever he shows up
- Perpetual Molt: His calling card? A falling black feather. In episode 18, Revolmon traces him by finding feathers he'd left behind after a battle.
- Red Eyes, Take Warning: Averted this time.
- Satan: Subverted hard. The name? Yes. But he had no evil qualities whatsoever -- quite the opposite, he was loyal and selfless. Not to mention, his background story (being one of the Goddess' Warriors as Baalmon) made him a holy warrior.
- Ship Tease: With Mervamon.
- Shout-Out: Death the Cannon. Unfortunately, his design is not symmetrical when using it.
- The Stoic
- Not So Stoic: As Mervamon puts it, he gets all hot-blooded in the heat of the battle.
- Too Many Belts: Randomly has some wrapped around his legs
- Undying Loyalty: He's probably the most loyal to Taiki besides Shoutmon. In the episodes leading up to his death, he kept going on about how Taiki was the one who gave him the power to reincarnate and how he'd vowed to devote his life to him. Also, he rarely if ever questioned Taiki's decisions (unlike the others who pretty much thought he was crazy half the time).
Wisemon
A Digimon researching the Digital World. He lives inside a book that acts as a laboratory and protection as he crosses the digital space. When Taiki ends up drifting between zones, Wisemon catches him to use a lab animal. He helps Taiki rescue his friends, then joins Xros Heart to continue his studies and provide analysis support for the army.
Voiced by: Show Hayami
- Awesomeness By Analysis: Helps a lot not through combat but through quick analysis of surroundings and Digimon.
- The Faceless: Pretty hilarious too when he eats a bunch of DigiNoir. However, we see him from a lot of angles in episode 48 that make it clear that the black space is his head, much like Revolmon before him, though it's sometimes played with like scenes of Matrix Raining Code running down them, also in episode 48.
- For Science!: He intends to study Taiki even after joining Xros Heart, even calling him his "lab animal".
- Home Base: The book which he uses as a lab. He later resides in Taiki's Xros Loader after sacrificing it to save Taiki from Arkadimon.
- Mad Scientist: Calls Taiki my lab animal, and is one of his reasons why he joined Xros Heart (that, and The Power of Friendship).
- Mecha Expansion Pack: In every DigiXros involving him (Mervamon Wide Hi-Vision Sword and Knightmon Wise Sword Mode), he exclusively acts as this, augmenting the size and power of the primary Digimon's weapon.
- Mind Over Matter: Though you can see him control stuff when he has those small orbital things appearing on his hands.
- Mr. Exposition
- The Power of Friendship: Taiki's catchphrase is so contagious.
- The Smart Guy
Rookie Monitamons
A trio of under-trained, red Monitamons who lacked confidence in their skill. It was only until they sneaked the Monitafort with Zenjiro did they gain confidence, allowing Nene to DigiXros them into Hi-Vision Monitamon. They joined Xros Heart to help communicate with Nene who will be leaving to search for her brother.

- Elemental Powers
- The Klutz
- Plucky Comic Relief
- Punny Name: Hi-Vision Monitamon. Hi-Vision television is what the Japanese calls their HDTVs. Said DigiXros changes the typical CRT looks of the Monitamons into an HDTV with his own satellite.
Lilymon
Shoutmon's childhood friend who also lives in the Green Zone. She was the one who was able to hide Taiki and Shoutmon's identities due to them being hit targets by the Bagra Army.
Voiced by: Kokoro Kikuchi
- Ascended Extra
- Early-Bird Cameo: was seen in episode 2 and returned later in episode 30.
- Plant Person
Twilight Army
Joined the Xros Heart army in Episode 21.
Mervamon
Nene's new main partner. She is a warrior Digimon who resides in Honey Land. She protects the Digimon there from Zamielmon's army. She wants to free Honey Land from Zamielmon's control and stop Ignitemon, her brother, from helping him in his evil deeds. After the defeat of Zamielmon she decides to join Xros Heart and after their battle against Yuu and DarkKnightmon she promises Nene to become her strength and becomes her main partner.
Her evolved and Xrossed forms are as follows:
JetMervamon, with Sparrowmon. Mervamon is equipped with Sparrowmon's guns and jetpack, and as such has the ability to fly.
Mervamon Wide Hi-Vision Sword, with Wisemon and a Hi-VisionMonitamon. The sword Olympia is upgraded with a powerful sensor array and a viewscreen from which Wisemon reports on what the sword detects.
Voiced by: Ryoko Shiraishi
- Action Girl
- Ass Kicks You: SEXY DYNAMITE!
- BFS: Her sword, Olympia.
- Boobs of Steel
- Chest Blaster: HEARTBREAK SHOT!
- Does This Remind You of Anything?: Lasers come out of her boobs.
- Cool Big Sis: To her brother, Ignitemon, though she quickly starts showing traits of this to Nene.
- Girlish Pigtails
- Hot Amazon
- Hot-Blooded
- Hot Chick with a Sword
- Leeroy Jenkins: Her first battle fighting alongside Xros Heart has her charging violently into a battle with Zamielmon's army.
- Living Weapon: The snake shaped shield on her arm, Medullia, shows traits of this by hissing like a real snake and mirroring Mervamon's expressions.
- Ms. Fanservice: The culmination of the franchise's slow increase in fanservice quantity over the past decade, Mervamon is easily the most overt case of Digimon fanservice.
- Gainaxing: Especially during the opening.
- Mythology Gag: "Sexy Dynamite" is a phrase associated with an infamous removed scene of Izumi in a skimpy bikini back in Digimon Frontier. Unsurprisingly, just like the signature move of Izumi's human-spirit Fairymon, its use as an attack involves the Ass Kicks You trope.
- Poisonous Digimon
- Scarf of Asskicking
- Ship Tease: With Beelzebumon.
- Stripperiffic
- Tomboy and Girly Girl: Nene's not exactly a girly girl, but Mervamon nonetheless has shades of this with her.
- Tsundere: So tsuntsun that she slaps Beelzebumon when they've just been discussing how injured and weakened he is!
- You Gotta Have Green Hair
Twilight Army
Nene Amano
A beautiful girl who leads the mysterious army Twilight. She appears to be searching for strong soldiers for an unknown purpose. She's not really the leader of Twilight and just a puppet of DarkKnightmon's who is being manipulated because she wants to save her brother Yuu and return home. She joins Taiki and Xros Heart in Episode 21, along with those members of Twilight who actually supported her.
Voiced by: Houko Kuwashima
- Beware the Nice Ones: She has a few tricks up her sleeves. When she asked Kiriha to join her, and when she brought out Sparrowmon she means business.
- In the manga she's seen relaxing in a beach, and Sparrowmon just finished off the Bagra commander, then she decides whether to take out either Taiki or Kiriha
- Big Sister Instinct: She wroked under DarkKnightmon in order to rescue her brother, Yuu, who had vanished into the Digital World.
- Color-Coded for Your Convenience: One might assume her color is green, like the Monitamon working for her...until she pulls out a Black Xros Loader. It later turns lavender.
- Cosplay Otaku Girl: In the second arc. It definitely comes in handy sometimes. Where does she get the costumes? Who knows.
- Damsel in Distress: Both Taiki and Kiriha want to save her in Episodes 20-21.
- Expy: Somewhat reminisciant of Rika, even moreso in the sequel series when we find out she has daddy issues.
- Miss Exposition: At first.
- Magic Skirt
- Master of Disguise: In the second half, she has a penchant for disguises.
- Ms. Fanservice
- Ninja
- Not So Above It All: In episode 23, she starts to showcase more personality and is the one that finally gets Karatenmon to laugh. From then on, she stops being The Stoic and acts like a normal person.
- Ojou: Certainly acts like one.
- Purple Eyes
- Sixth Ranger: Nene joins Xros Heart in episode 21.
- The Stoic: For the first 20 or so episodes, at least, until she reveals her Not So Stoic side.
- When She Smiles
- Zettai Ryouiki: A bulk of her onscreen outfits are composed of this.
Monitamon
A trio of ninja Digimon who serve Nene, spying on the heroes and collecting information for her. The Monitamon join Xros Heart along with Nene in Episode 21.
Their evolved and Xrossed forms are as follows:
Hi-VisionMonitamon, a merger of three Monitamon. A variety of Monitamon dressed in black and with an HD television[1] for a head instead of an old CRT TV, with a yellow satellite dish mounted on top of it.
Voiced by: Yuko Maruyama
- Cloudcuckoolander
- Comically Missing the Point: In the Omake at the end of every episode, Monitamon tells us about a Digimon and its attacks...and usually ends up likening them to some sort of mundane utility.
- Elemental Powers
- Highly-Visible Ninja: Come on, they have giant TVs for heads!
- Actually subverted. Despite their looks and tomfoolery, Nene always seems to have information on Taiki's whereabouts and deeds. The implication? The Monitamon are always there, doing such a good job of spying that we never see them.
- And then played straight in the Shinobi Zone, pretty much all of them in bright colors you'd expect in another series.
- Shout-Out: They look a lot like Canti from FLCL, and appear similar to the Zakus from SD Gundam Force.
- Talking to Himself: All of the Monitamon are voiced by the same voice actor.
Monimon
A tiny light green TV-shaped digimon that Nene carries in her arms. Monimon joins Xros Heart along with Nene in Episode 21.
- Badass Adorable: A cute little TV-mon, but can apparently teleport around Mons much bigger than itself.
- Team Pet
- Teleport Spam: Seems to have this power based on episode 54. It's either this or Flash Step.
- What Happened to the Mouse?: Gets very little in the way of screen time, which may lead one to wonder if it just spends all its time in Nene's Xros Loader.
Sparrowmon
A male Digimon in the shape of a yellow fighter jet, who serves Nene. He joins Xros Heart along with Nene in Episode 21, and contributes to the Shoutmon X5 and Shoutmon X7 Xrosses.
His evolved and Xrossed forms are as follows:
Sparrowmon After Burner, with Ballistamon. Ballistamon becomes a pair of jet engines attached to Sparrowmon's back, allowing him to fly at high speeds. (Manga only)
RaptorSparrowmon, his natural evolution. A much larger Sparrowmon with huge wings, several tendril-like tails, legs, and a more bird-like appearance. (Manga only)
Voiced by: Kokoro Kikuchi
- Animal Mecha
- Badass Adorable
- Beam Spam: RANDOM LASER!
- Bokukko: Confirmed in the manga only. Whether this is canon to the anime has yet to be revealed.
- Cool Plane
- Determinator: Episode 17 shows Sparrowmon bravely trying again and again to rescue Nene from the Gehenna sphere. He succeeds.
- Doppelganger Spin: CRASH BOOM!
- Fragile Speedster
- Keet
- More Dakka
- Meaningful Name: Based on the Spatz, which is a jet fighter. Spatz is German for "sparrow".
- RaptorSparrowmon's name comes from the Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor
- Sixth Ranger: Amongst the five main Digimon - he later becomes the final component of Shoutmon X5.
- Despite becoming friends with Taiki, when he DigiXrosses, he has Twilight's emblem until episode 26.
- Wrestler in All of Us: RAPTOR GRAPPLE!
Blue Flare Army
Kiriha Aonuma
A seventh grader who leads and fights with Greymon and a large Digimon army. He eliminates enemies with cold and calculated methods, spreading the influence of his power so as to take over the Digital World.
Voiced by: Takeshi Kusao
- Aloof Ally: Kiriha becomes this in the beginning of the Death Generals arc. He travels with the group, but still chooses to go on his own at times and is not exactly buddy-buddy with Taiki and Nene. That is, until the last few episodes; compare him then to how he was at the beginning of the series.
- The Berserker
- Blond Guys Are Evil: Or at least, antagonistic.
- Blue Eyes
- Brainwashed and Crazy: Episodes 20-21. Taiki snaps him out of it.
- The Comically Serious: Has moments as this in the second half.
- Dark and Troubled Past: Episode 42 expands this, and my God is it troubled.
- Expy: One fan called him the bastardized lovechild of Tohma and Nuts, oddly enough, since he may sound like Coco.
- Or Yoshino's ex-boyfriend, Hanamura Neon.
- He might remind some Pokémon fans of Paul.
- General Ripper: Deliberately fires on both the enemy and Taiki's forces hoping to take out both of them.
- Honor Before Reason
- Instant Awesome, Just Add Dragons: Kiriha seems to believe in this. Blue Flare is basically entirely composed of different dragonic Digimon, and even their emblem contains a dragon.
- Jerkass: Moreso when his power hungry side kicks in.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Despite his Social Darwinist status, he cares more for Greymon and MailBirdramon than he lets on.
- Meaningful Name: Aonuma means "blue swamp".
- More Than Mind Control: Gravimon inflicts this to him in episode 42, using Kiriha's feelings against him and making him turn against Xros Heart.
- Red Oni, Blue Oni: The blue to Taiki's red.
- This troper disagrees with his relation with Taiki. Kiriha may have been the blue at first, but in the 7 death generals, has always tried to attack through a head on assault, while Taiki used startegy, and timing.
- The Rival
- Slasher Smile: Combined with a Nightmare Face here: Brrrr [dead link] ...
- The Social Darwinist
- Trigger Happy
- Tsundere: Not as a character overall, pre or post character development, but his "opening up moment" is about as wonderful an example of a classic tsundere moment as you can get, complete with blushing and stuttering. It's hilariously out of character (and proves how far he's come in trusting others).
- "Well Done, Son" Guy: to his father, post-mortem.
Greymon
Kiriha's battle partner. A powerful combatant with the personality of an angry guard dog.
His evolved and Xrossed forms are as follows:
MetalGreymon, with MailBirdramon. He gains armour plating and weaponry vaguely reminiscent of the original MetalGreymon. Can be augmented into DeckerGreymon with the addition of Deckerdramon, and gains the Cyber Launcher weapon when Xrossed with Cyberdramon.
RampageGreymon, with MailBirdramon, Ballistamon and Dorulumon. MetalGreymon gains many cannons and drills attached to his body. (Manga only)
ZekeGreymon, his natural evolved form, accessible only from the MetalGreymon form. A gigantic gold-plated variation on MetalGreymon, armed with tail-mounted and hand-mounted cannons.
Shoutmon DX, with OmegaShoutmon, accessible only from the ZekeGreymon form. A bulky fighter which adds ZekeGreymon's armour, weapons and wings to OmegaShoutmon.
Shoutmon X7, with OmegaShoutmon, Ballistamon, Dorulumon, the Starmons and Sparrowmon, accessible only from the ZekeGreymon form. A bulky gold-tinted warrior wielding a giant version of Shoutmon's microphone, adding parts of ZekeGreymon to the basic shape of Shoutmon X5.
Voiced by: Takeshi Kusao
- Beam Spam: GIGA DESTROYER!
- The Berserker: May seem like it when first shown. However, Greymon's first spoken words are "Are you all right, Kiriha?", after protecting him from Tactimon.
- Episode 25 pretty much features him talking a lot, much more than MailBirdramon.
- Beware My Stinger Tail: BLASTER TAIL!
- BFG: MetalGreymon, DeckerGreymon and ZekeGreymon have them.
- Blow You Away: MEGA TEMPEST!
- Chrome Champion: As ZekeGreymon.
- Curb Stomp Battle: Ones that spring to mind are ZekeGreymon obliterating Dorbickmon in one blow and on the reverse side Gravimon returning the favor to him in episode 42.
- Dinosaurs Are Dragons: And act like dinosaurs too. Greymon drinking from a lake in episode 19 seemed to have been lifted from Jurassic Park. Though to be fair, he lacks the "dramon" part which most of the dragon-type digimon have.
- Expy: For the original Greymon. Though, he's also heavily redesigned, takes his color-scheme from the viral version of the species, and takes a few design cues from Savers' GeoGreymon as well.
- ZekeGreymon can be seen as an expy of VictoryGreymon. Though unlike most of the final forms in the Greymon family, it retains a beast-like build, averting another Bishonen Line.
- Golden Super Mode: ZekeGreymon.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: He calls Shoutmon a runt, but saves him from being crushed by Valvemon later on without hesitation.
- Large and In Charge
- My Master, Right or Wrong
- Red Eyes, Take Warning
- Spell My Name with an "S": While his super-evolved form's name is quite clearly Romanized as "ZekeGreymon" by everything official, and it's clear that he has a letter Z motif to parallel OmegaShoutmon's Ω motif, there are still those that insist on calling him "SiegGreymon" which, while cool-sounding, isn't actually a possible transliteration of "ジークグレイモン" and doesn't fit with the Z motif. On a smaller scale, there are those who choose to spell it "ZeekGreymon".
- Walking Tank: The DeckerGreymon combination gives him tank treads and a bunch of armaments.
MailBirdramon
Kiriha's other primary Digimon. An armored bird with aerial capabilities, he can DigiXros with Greymon to form MetalGreymon...and does pretty much nothing else.
Voiced by: Daisuke Kishio
- Animal Mecha
- Breath Weapon: PLASMA CANNON!
- Chest Blaster
- The Consigliere: He served this to Kiriha on more than one occasion.
- Cool Plane: He is one.
- Expy: Kiriha uses him as a flying mount in much the same way that the Digimon Kaiser used Airdramon. Based on his name, he may also be an expy of Birdramon.
- Feathered Fiend: Well, okay, technically he's an "armored cyborg fiend", but "bird" is in his name.
- Giant Flyer
- Heterosexual Life Partners: With Greymon, his Xros partner. The only time Mail Birdramon's calm exterior breaks is when Greymon falls when the ground breaks beneath them.
- My Master, Right or Wrong
- Our Dragons Are Different
- Satellite Character: He has virtually no characterization beyond being Greymon's Digi Xros partner, and exists for virtually no other purpose. It's best exemplfied with ZekeGreymon - it evolves from the merger of Greymon and MailBirdramon, yet is essentially treated to just be Greymon.[2]
- Out of Focus: In the earlier episodes, he had a lot more dialogue and screentime on his own. The arrival of Greymon shot down any higher aspirations pretty quickly.
- The Stoic
- Wave Motion Gun: In his chest.
Cyberdramon
Another one of Kiriha's Digimon.
Voiced by:Takeshi Kusao
- Axe Crazy: He doesn't get much focus, but one of the few bits of characterization we get about him seems to indicate this.
- Beware My Stinger Tail: DEATH DIVIDER!
- Blade on a Stick
- Combat Tentacles: He can use his ribs as this.
- Everything Is Better With Spinning
- Expy: For the original Cyberdramon.
- My Master, Right or Wrong
- Our Dragons Are Different
- The Quiet One
Deckerdramon
The Guardian Deity of Love who watches over Forest Zone's Code Crown. Later joins with Kiriha's army.
Voiced by: Koji Yada
- Beware My Stinger Tail: HEAVY TAIL HOOK!
- Cool Boat: He has an aquatic mode that he uses for traveling in the ocean.
- Gentle Giant: Who knew when feasting eye on images of him he would be such a supporter of The Power of Love. Then again, Team Blue Flare probably needs someone like him.
- Heroic Sacrifice: Despite being injured from Kiriha's Digimon, he still protected everyone. His final words, given to the now-changed Kiriha, were, "I was happy to have served you as my General."
- Killed Off for Real
- Dead Sidekick
- Back from the Dead: In the finale.
- Macross Missile Massacre: DECKERDRAUNCHER!
- More Dakka
- Our Dragons Are Different
- Walking Tank
Dracomon
A young dragon Digimon who was fleeing from the clutches of Dorbickmon. He looks up to Blue Flare, much to Kiriha's chagrin.
His evolved and Xrossed forms are as follows:
An unnamed Digimon, with Cyberdramon. Dracomon grows larger and adds parts of Cyberdramon's armour to his body.
Voiced by: Megumi Urawa
- Badass Adorable: To quote Shoutmon...
Shoutmon: You're blind, Kiriha! He is weak, but he has lived up to this point. His heart is much stronger than anyone of us!
- Determinator
- Early-Bird Cameo: Came out as part of the DigiMelody segment first, some episodes prior to 31.
- The Heart: Of the Blue Flare Army.
- Ridiculously Cute Critter: As far as Blue Flare members are (barring Bommon). His voice actor also adds more to the cuteness.
- The Smart Guy: One of his skill is finding the weak point in structures, which comes in handy on a few occasions.
- Tunnel King
- Weak but Skilled
Gaossmon
A group of reptile Digimon who serve Kiriha. They make up the bulk of the Blue Flare army, but are rarely seen, popping up only when Kiriha feels he needs force of numbers.
- Cephalothorax: They're basically dinosaur heads with legs and tails.
- Expy: As Greymon is one to the original, the Gaossmon are essentially Xros Wars' answer to Agumon, who needless to say, has a lot of these.
- Mooks: That's the best (or only) description of their role in Blue Flare.
- Stock Dinosaurs: Averted. They're based off of Gasosaurus, an obscure theropod.
Bagra Army
Bagramon
The powerful king of the Bagra Empire, and the leader of its Bagra Army. He commands a vast army of Digimon along with the three generals, but does not leave his castle until the endgame.
His evolved and Xrossed forms are as follows:
DarknessBagramon, with DarkKnightmon. An immensely powerful Biological Mashup of the two, with the addition of two enormous black wings.
Voiced by: Takeshi Kusao
- Apocalypse How: His true goal. How big are we talking? Class X-5.
- Archangel Gabriel: The demonic inversion, in that his name is a corruption and reordering of the symbols and sounds in Gabriel's name.
- Authority Equals Asskicking: As the emperor of the Bagra army, it makes sense that he'd be incredibly powerful- and he is, possibly one of the toughest final villains the franchise has provided.
- Badass Cape
- Battle in the Center of the Mind: After being seemingly killed and assimilated by DarkKnightmon, he wrests control back through one of these, and initially confronts Taiki, Akari and Cutemon in one during the final battle.
- Beard of Evil
- Big Bad
- Curb Stomp Battle/ Single-Stroke Battle: After curbstomping everyone several times initially even before becoming DarknessBagramon, he himself ends up on the recieving end of one these at the hands of Shoutmon X7 Superior Mode.
- Disk One Final Boss: Subverted.DarkKnightmon tried to take over, but it backfired big time. Also worth noting is that he's the first Digimon Big Bad to remain the main antagonist throughout their entire series.
- Eight Winged Angel: As DarknessBagramon.
- Expy: Of the MegaTen version of Lucifer. Despite being the demonic inversion of Gabriel. Kinda weird.
- He also has a number of similarities to Daemon, both conceptually and in terms of his role in the story.
- I Am Not Left-Handed: You can tell just by looking that his most powerful hand is his right one. But even when that one is occupied with initiating D5, he's still prepared to wipe the walls with the good guys with just his left hand. Only being impaled by Dark Knightmon actually saves the heroes from getting creamed.
- Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: Twice.
- Man in White: In something of a refreshing change from the average demon Digimon, he is dressed primarily in white.
- Multiversal Conqueror: Probably second to Milleniumon in this aspect if not equal to him in the entire franchise so far.
- Olympus Mons: He's a Demon Lord digimon, a classification reserved for the most powerful demonic digimon in the mythos.
- Omnicidal Maniac: The ultimate goal of his plan, D-5, which will destroy all dimensions and allow him to reshape them in his own image.
- Orcus on His Throne: For a powerful Digimon, he sure just sits in his throne. In fact, all of his appearance thus far is just him sitting on his throne. With that said, he is very, very powerful when he does do his job. turns out to be Justified as, ultimatelyWether the Death Generals won or lost didn't matter to him, he'd still harvest all the negative energy he needed, either from them succeeding or them dying.
- Power Gives You Wings: The first bit of the transformation into DarknessBagramon is, naturally, him growing enormous wings.
- Note that he already has wings in his base form, they just are very small.
- Red Eyes, Take Warning
- Red Right Hand: His right arm and leg are huge, bony and monstrous. His right arm is capable of drastically increasing in size to attack, enough to reach straight through to the human world and initiate D5.
- Spikes of Villainy: His demonic horns and aspects of his artificial limbs.
- Super Mode: DarknessBagramon
- Up to Eleven/Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever: MegaDarknessBagramon
- The Voice: Until episode 21.
DarkKnightmon
A powerful, mysterious Digimon that belongs to Nene's Twilight army. He is the true leader of Twilight and is in possession of the Darkness Loader, which he claims will unlock his desires. Episode 29 reveals that he is in fact Bagramon's younger brother.
His evolved and Xrossed forms are as follows:
SkullKnightmon, one of the two base components of DarkKnightmon. A squat knight with a skull motif, dual-wielding red lances.
DeadlyAxemon, one of the two base components of DarkKnightmon. A black quadrupedial creature whose body mostly consists of blades.
MusouKnightmon, with Tuwarmon. DarkKnightmon receives a massive Tuwarmon-shaped BFG turret attached to both of his hands.
Voiced by: Jurota Kosugi
- Affably Evil: Never stops behaving like a gentleman, even when he's ruining people's lives.
- An Axe to Grind: His component Digimon DeadlyAxemon
- Also: Big Axe Mode and the Interdimensional Axe he uses to travel between lands in the second half of the series.
- Aristocrats Are Evil: He did say that he was but a noble. Although Bagramon calls him out on this near the end of the series, saying that he started calling himself a noble one day despite never actually being one.
- Badass Cape: As both DarkKnightmon and SkullKnightmon.
- Big Bad Wannabe
- BFG: DarkKnightmon and Tsuwamon's DigiXros, MusouKnightmon, is armed with this.
- Black Knight
- Blade on a Stick
- Chessmaster
- Chronic Backstabbing Disorder
- Dark Is Evil: Gee, the guy named DarkKnightmon is a bad guy? Who'd have thunk.
- Hey, some Dark Knights are heroic.
- Enemy Mine: With Lilithmon as of Episode 21. As per usual, DarkKnightmon's intentions are anyone's guess. Of course, both intend to betray the other as soon as they have no further use for one another.
- This is ultimately subverted when we find out in episode 29 that DarkKnightmon was part of the Bagra Army from the start; technically he and Lilithmon were always on the same side, Lilithmon just didn't know it.
- Evil Laugh: He can't even seem to finish his sentences without some sort of ominous chuckling, to say *nothing* of when he's properly "amused".
- Giggling Villain: He always does the "Hmph! Hmph! Hmph! Hmph!" laugh a lot.
- Evil Sounds Deep
- Glowing Eyes of Doom: Especially when he's influencing Nene.
- Hoist by His Own Petard
- Leitmotif: Dark Knight: The King of Immortality. Kill you, indeed.
- Notably used in episode 52, when DarkKnightmon betrays Bagramon.
- Large Ham: An oddly well-cultured one, but a ham nonetheless.
- Literal Split Personality: Is actually the DigiXros of SkullKnightmon and DeadlyAxemon. Though DeadlyAxemon is little more than an attack dog, he's quite clearly a different being from SkullKnightmon.
- Manipulative Bastard
- Mon Behind The Woman: Episode 19 reveals that he is essentially the leader of Twilight and is using Nene for his own twisted purpose by using her love for her brother to manipulate her.
- More Than Mind Control: There's just something off about his relationship with Nene.
- And now, with Kiriha as well.
- Names to Run Away From Really Fast
- Obviously Evil: As well as the Glowing Eyes of Doom, which should be enough for any sane person, the very names of him and the Digimon that make him up (SkullKnightmon and DeadlyAxemon don't exactly sound like creatures you'd like to meet at night) and also the Evil Laugh all add to one of the most frightening Digimon ever to appear.
- Shadow Archetype: From a design standpoint, he's this to Shoutmon X4 and above. When paired with his brother, he's this towards Nene and Yuu. In terms of modus operandi, he's this towards Taiki.
- Shout-Out: SkullKnightmon looks to be one towards both a Gunmen and Meta-Knight from the Kirby series.
- Then there's the fact that his name, cape, and familiar-shaped structure on his chest tend to remind one of Batman.
- The Starscream: Betrays Bagramon with a hefty backstab, before DigiXrossing with him to attain full power. Backfires spectacularly when Bagramon seizes back control from within and effectively destroys him.
- Note that his brother knew DarkKnightmon was antagonistic towards him, but admired his forward thinking. It seems that the brothers have a rather...unique relationship.
- Wicked Cultured: Even when straying into Complete Monster territory, he maintains the air of a gentleman, speaking in a tone that emphasizes his arrogance and nobility.
Damemon/Tsuwamon
A robotic Digimon shaped like a poop, who can transform into a golden, robotic ninja Digimon. While he appeared loyal to Bagramon, in reality, he served as a spy for DarkKnightmon, until they joined Bagramon. He later served as the personal bodyguard to Yuu Amano, and came to legitimately care for the boy.
Voiced by: Masami Kikuchi
- Arm Cannon: As DeadlyTsuwamon, his fusion with DeadlyAxemon.
- Catch Phrase: "Dame! Dame!" [3]
- Expy: Damemon looks like a robotic Sukamon.
- Tsuwamon is essentially Shurikenger in Digimon form.
- Fighting with Chucks: His "Mantis Arm" blades, which are really more bladed tonfas. Or Sinister Scythes.
- Flash Step
- Gratuitous English: He sure likes to speak with additional English phrases.
- And then explain what they mean.
- Gravity Master
- Killed Off for Real
- Returns in the next series.
- Loyal Digimon Companion: He really does care for the human general in the Bagra Army, Yuu Amano.
- The Mole
- Ninja
- Obfuscating Stupidity
- Smoke Out: Smokin' Boogie. A smoke bomb with additional bomb.
- Throwing Your Sword Always Works: MANTIS ARM!
ChuuChuumon
The digimon sitting at Damemon's controls. While he's originally thought to just be along for the ride, his true nature is a bit more sinister.
Voiced by: Kenji Akabane
- Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever: Inexplicably grows giant during his last fight. Actually made him something of a challenge until Taiki pulled out Bastemon.
- Wisemon says that he was compressing his data to appear small.
- Consummate Liar
- Devil in Plain Sight: Considering Damemon's own role as a Mole, that's saying something.
- Eaten Alive: By Bastemon of all 'mon!
- Expy: As Damemon is one for Sukamon, ChuuChuumon is one for Chuumon.
- Head Pet
- Just Desserts: Becomes Bastemon's snack.
- Pokémon-Speak
- Smug Snake: Just look the expression on his picture.
- You Dirty Rat
Yuu Amano
Nene's younger brother. He was manipulated by DarkKnightmon into leading the Bagra Army as its primary tactician, believing it all to be just a game.
Voiced by: Kanae Oki
- Supporting Leader: In the final battle. While Taiki worked on rescuing Shoutmon, Yuu took command of the Xros Heart forces for him and personally used most of Taiki's Digimon.
- The Atoner: Yuu will probably head this way in the second series, because it looks like he'll be a part of the good guys.
- Blonde Guys Are Evil: Subverted
- Beneath the Mask/Not Brainwashed: Before he entered the Digital World, Yuu was a kind boy who did not want to hurt anyone. However, he resented having to handicap himself in order to keep himself from hurting others. His behaviour in the Digital World was due to his belief that no one there could get hurt or die, which let him use his full talents with impunity.
- Cain and Abel: Though played with in that the evil one is the younger of the two siblings.
- Subverted. His antagonism towards his sister was the product of his belief that he couldn't hurt her in the Digital World, rather than any previous sibling rivalry.
- Creepy Child: It varies in how it shows - sometimes through his sheer cheerful obliviousness to everything he's causing, and sometimes when he snaps and gets desparate to win.
- Eleventh-Hour Ranger
- Expy: Of Ken from Digimon Adventure 02. He thinks that the Digital World is just a game, even though his sister and her friends tell him otherwise. He is actually a very kind kid who just wants to be able to escape the sadness and pain of the Real World, and his Digimon dies in his arms.
- Heel Face Turn
- Heel Realization: When he finally realizes his actions have been causing real pain and death, it hits the poor kid hard. He even calls himself "the worst person in the world" at one point, distraught as he is.
- Human Resources: His energy is used to fuel the Darkness Loader in episodes 52 and 53.
- Obliviously Evil
- The Strategist
- Unwitting Pawn: Of DarkKnightmon, just like his sister was.
- Used to Be a Sweet Kid
- Video Game Cruelty Potential: He's apparently hoodwinked into believing the Digital World is a video game, so he has no problem with giving a "game over" to anyone - like his sister, for instance!
- Someone who believes the Digital World is a video game? Now where have I heard that before?
- And You Thought It Was a Game: He honestly thought that no one in the Digital World could get hurt or die there. When his opponents manage to show him otherwise, he doesn't take it well.
- Villainous Breakdown / BSOD: After the fact that it's not just a game is revealed to him, only worsened by Damemon's death.
Tactimon
One of the generals of the Bagra army, who commands MadLeomon and the other early opponents faced by Xros Heart. He's fixated on his military record, and his favorite word is "Perfect."
Voiced by: Bin Shimada
- Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever: Is EXTREMELY massive in the Real World due to him sucking up a ton of energy.
- Authority Equals Asskicking
- BFG: The cannons on his back, called Tanegashima (which is the name of Japanese firearms, based on a Japanese island).
- BFS: The Jatetsufuujinmaru (Sealed Iron Serpent God). Notable because it is damn huge...and it's not even unsealed yet! And even if it's sealed, it can deal major damage!
- Chekhov's Gun: The energy stored within the sword, which had remained undestroyed from Tactimon's defeat, is instrumental in Bagramon's D5 plot.
- In the manga, it gets unsealed. And dear god does he kick ass once he starts using it.
- Blood Knight: He delights in finding a Worthy Opponent in Team Xros Heart, and his normally stoic personality gives way to bombastic revelry whenever they push him to his limits. His sword was sealed prior to their second direct confrontation to curb its immense power, saving it for a foe formidable enough to merit its unsealing.
- Complete Monster: He is one of the most ruthless Digimon around, completely without honor, mercy, or loyalty to his comrades.
- Everything's Better with Samurai: A subversion. Highly strategic, dangerously lethal, and as an adversary to the heroes, also shown to be more than just competent in combat by himself.
- Fan Nickname: Has been called by the fans as Tac-chan as often as Blastmon calls him that.
- Four Is Death: His tachi techniques follow a set pattern, one to four. However, the fourth technique uses the Kanji for death instead of four.
- General Ripper: He's not above sacrificing the Bagra Army's soldiers in order to attain victory, which results in Dorulumon abandoning the Empire's army, and BlueMeramon betraying them for being considered such a sacrifice in the past.
- Informed Ability: For all his focus on perfection, his strategies don't seem all that special, and basically amount to ordering around his subordinates. Of course, we're only four episodes in...
- And with the most recent episode, his strategic prowess is finally displayed. It's effective enough to take us out of this trope.
- Katanas Are Just Better: Confirmed to be the theme of his attacks by his website profile. Though, as noted above him, he does carry two cannons on his back.
- Killed Off for Real: If Episode 30 is anything to go by.
- Necromancer: Sort of. He can transform data from fallen Digimon into dark data, that can fight and constrict enemies.
- Shoulders of Doom
- The Strategist
- Theme Naming: Most of his attacks.
- ICHI NO TACHI![4] - Creates an earthquake with the Jatetsufuujinmaru.
- NI NO TACHI![5] - Turns the data of fallen Digimon into dark data with the Jatetsufuujinmaru.
- SAN NO TACHI![6] - Creates a shockwave with the Jatetsufuujinmaru.
- SHI NO TACHI![7] - Slashes the opponent with the Jatetsufuujinmaru.
- GO NO TACHI![8] - Creates powerful energy whips with the Jatetsufuujinmaru. (Manga only)
- MU NO TACHI![9] - Creates a vortex with the Jatetsufuujinmaru. (Manga only)
Lilithmon
One of the Bagra Army's generals.
Her evolved and Xrossed forms are as follows:
GattaiLilithmon, with Blastmon and the three Evilmons. A...comical combat form, where Blastmon forms an Epic Flail and the Evilmons form talking breast armour.
MajuuLilithmon, with Blastmon and the energy of Hell's Field. An enormous and powerful monster of a form, with Lilithmon atop a centaur body armed with spikes from Blastmon.
Voiced by: Houko Kuwashima
- Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever: She grows gigantic in episode 48 after merging with Blastmon.
- Berserk Button: Don't make Lilithmon mad, or she'll go insane (or "explode" as she calls it).
- Boobs of Steel
- Butt Monkey: Became this in the Death Generals arc.
- Demoted to Extra: Seems to have happened to her and Blastmon, as they were not allowed to become Death Generals, so they are now on "vacation" - and she's pissed off about it.
- Enemy Mine: With DarkKnightmon as of Episode 21.
- Femme Fatalons: And they're poisonous. She stabs Baalmon with them.
- From Nobody to Nightmare: Not that Lilithmon was weak to begin with or anything, but in the Death Generals arc she was mostly a side character used for comic relief more than serious battles. This is changed heavily in episode 48, where she merges with Blastmon, grows gigantic and starts absorbing the whole Hell's Field, threatening the lives of everyone inside in the process.
- Gainaxing: Lilithmon's chest likes to bounce a lot.
- Grievous Harm with a Body: Uses Blastmon's head as an Epic Flail in her DigiXrossed form.
- Hair-Trigger Temper: "I'M GONNA EXPLODE!"
- Hellish Pupils: Especially when she's mad.
- Horny Devils: Well, she is supposed to be the Demon Lord of Lust, thought Xros Wars don't seem to follow this particular bit of in-universe mythology - she even gets teased by the Evilmons and Blastmon about "not having a boyfriend".
- Olympus Mons: Theoretically, being one of the Seven Great Demon Lords. In practice, not really.
- One-Winged Angel: As MajuuLilithmon, fused with the power of Hell's Field.
- Single Tear: In their final appearance, Lilithmon and Blastmon share tears when she reveals he and Tactimon were the only people she truly trusted.
- The Smurfette Principle: She's the only girl in Bagramon's army (and in her Digimon group, the Seven Great Demon Lords).
- Spell My Name with an "S": Likely just an error, but TV Asahi's website called her "Rirismon," the flat transliteration of her name.
- Summon Magic: EMPRESS EMBLAZE! - Summons a giant, grotesque hand creature to attack her foe. (Manga only)
- Too Kinky to Torture: In the manga adaptation, she has her soul ripped out, put into the body of a Gekomon, and then put back in her regular body; and what does she do after that? She squeals in ecstasy.
Blastmon
The last of the Bagra army's generals. A powerful warrior, he's obsessed with collecting and devouring diamonds in order to increase his own shine. Though ferociously strong, he's also a bit...well, off.
Voiced by: Daisuke Kishio
- Adult Child: He has the power of an Ultimate level Digimon...and the brain capacity of a 5 year old.
- In fact, he names one of his powerful attacks as Final Sbagon Punch...with sbagon being a Japanese onomatopoeia for explosions.
- Attention Deficit Ooh Shiny: When we first see him out and about, he's more preoccupied with getting his hands on treasure than he is on fighting his enemies. And making sure sand isn't all over his body. And...let's just say his attention span is just plain nonexistent.
- Berserk Button: Subverted. He hates it when his body gets dirty, and considers it more important than anything else, but it's more of a Tranquil Fury.
- Beware My Stinger Tail: DIAMOND TAIL!
- Butt Monkey: Became this in the Death Generals arc.
- The Brute
- Cloudcuckoolander: As evidenced by his constant lack of concern for his duties. But what really drove it home was when he thought that Kiriha's partner Cyberdramon was in love with him...
- Demoted to Extra: Seems to have happened to him and Lilithmon, as they were not allowed to become Death Generals, so they are now on "vacation".
- The Fighting Narcissist: He's single-mindedly obsessed with his shine. He'll give up battling and go home if he loses it.
- Large Ham: Daisuke Kishio seems to be trying to channel Norio Wakamoto for this role.
- Laughably Evil
- Lightning Bruiser: He's pretty damn fast when propelled by energy released from his fist.
- Losing Your Head
- The Nicknamer: He calls Tactimon "Tac-chan" and recently Lilithmon "Lili-tan".
- Sculpted Physique: His entire is made out of Power Crystals.
Baalmon
An assassin for the Bagra army, Baalmon is quite disliked by the Generals due to his closed and hard-to-read personality and sneaky behavior, which earned him the derogatory nickname "Shinigami". Baalmon seems to be serving the Bagra army for his own personal reasons, such as when he offers Lilithmon to assassinate Taiki.
Baalmon actually hails from Sand Zone, and was a member of its guardians, the Warriors Of The Goddess, as well as its leader, Angemon's disciple. One day however, he was forced to kill every single member of the order when they suddenly went berserk, sporting a strange mark on his forehead. Thus, Baalmon joined the army to search for the one responsible for that traumatic day, oblivious to the fact that Lilithmon herself is to blame.
After Lilithmon mortally wounds him, Taiki uses the power of the Goddess to revive him, and he is reincarnated as Beelzebumon.
Voiced by: Daisuke Kishio
- Badass Long Robe
- Blond Guys Are Evil: It's hard to tell whose side he's on since no one seems to like him much, but being an assassin is evil enough.
- Cool Mask: He dons the Goddess' mask when he runs to save Shoutmon X4K. It gets incorporated into his Beelzebumon form after his reincarnation.
- Chained by Fashion: He wears a chain that binds a large book to his back. Strangely, neither the chain nor the book seem to slow him down much.
- Dark and Troubled Past
- Death Is Cheap: He takes the full force of HiMugendramon's attack and gets a really dramatic death-scene...Then he gets reborn. As Beelzebumon. Less than a minute after his death. In other words, his death had absolutely no negative effects whatsoever.
- Expy: He's rather mysterious so far, but fans have already noticed a few suspicious similarities to a certain demon lord featuring prominently in Digimon Tamers... In fact, merchandise depicts Baalmon being reincarnated as Beelzebumon and performing a Heel Face Turn in the near future.
- Which would be very fitting, as Beelzebub is one of the more prominent deities who are referred to as Baal, even having an alternative spelling as Baal Zebub.
- He also has shades of Digimon Adventure's Wizarmon, in both appearance and ultimate fate.
- He also looks quite a bit like Asura.
- Flash Step: He shows this off when Blastmon tries to forcefully, err, remove him.
- Iconic Item: Beelzebumon's helmet/mask in the Sand Zone episodes. It originally belonged to the goddess, and Baalmon is shown wearing it when he sacrifices himself. It then becomes his when he's reincarnated.
- Last of His Kind: He's the last of The Goddess' Warriors who lived in Sand Zone. What happened to the rest of them? He killed them when they were under EBEmon's control.
- Nothing Up My Sleeve: He has a shotgun hidden in his sleeve. Yes, it's one of Beelzebumon's "Berenjena" shotguns.
- Peek-a-Bangs
- Psycho for Hire
- Red Eyes, Take Warning: He's an assassin. What other color eyes would he have?
- Shinigami: The generals call him this.
- The Stoic
- Too Many Belts: Inexplicably has them all over his right arm.
- The Unfavorite: The generals also don't seem to like him very much, either.
- Zipperiffic: Like Wizarmon, he has zippers in odd places on his legs.
Evilmons
A trio of Digimon who serve as Blastmon's minions.
- Dub Name Change: Past English releases have called them Vilemon.
- The Igor: To Blastmon.
- Those Three Bad Guys.
- Verbal Tic, Evil~
MadLeomon
A field commander for the Bagra empire. He's the first opponent to face Taiki and his friends, and uses the tactic of absorbing his subordinates in order to become more powerful.
Voiced by: Nobuo Tobita
- Axe Crazy: Come on people, it's in his name.
- Back from the Dead/Redemption Earns Life: He gets resurrected and purified into Leomon.
- Bad Boss: To become more powerful, he'll absorb his minions.
- Chainsaw Good: Well, he's a bad guy, but in his "armed" form, his main weapon is an enormous chainsaw.
- Mega Neko
- Recurring Boss
- Running Gag: Oh come on, what do you think is gonna happen to him?
- Guess what happened in episode three?
- Guess they said, "Everyone knows, might as well get this over with."
- But wait! As of episode 29, he gets revived into a LEOMON! You think he'll die...AGAIN?
- Nope. He's seen as one of the many, many Digimon that make up Shoutmon X7 Superior Mode. Perhaps we've come full circle by having plain old Leomon live in the end. Juri would be happy.
- Starter Villain: Well, might as well start out with a villain whom you know is going to die.
Neptunemon
The commander for the Bagra army in the Island Zone. He commands a fleet of aquatic Digimon, which include a number of Mantaraymon fitted with armor that serve as battleships. His special spear is known as the King's Bite.
Voiced by: Mitsuaki Madono
- Back from the Dead
- Hoist by His Own Petard: Is killed by his own spear its tricked into impaling him.
- Living Weapon: His King's Bite has a mind of its own, and will not relent until it has pierced its target. Even if its own master tries to stop it.
- Olympus Mons: His name and role in the Expanded Universe make him one of these, but his actual role in the show is significantly less remarkable.
- Our Mermaids Are Different
- Redemption Earns Life
- Sea Monster: Him and his subordinate Digimon.
- Taking You with Me: After being impaled on King's Bite, he attempts to take his enemies with him with his Wave of Depth attack.
AncientVolcamon
The Bagra army's commander in the Magma Zone. He has enslaved a number of Digimon to dig for the area's Code Crown, and has a fiery temper. Literally.
Voiced by: Kiyoyuki Yanada
- Back from the Dead
- Bad Boss: The guy is both a slave-driver and a practitioner of MadLeomon's favored power up method.
- Body Horror: What happens when he gets all stopped up and gets his magma flowing backwards.
- Chest Blaster: Gets this later on, after powering up and becoming FusionAncientVolcamon
- Demoted to Extra: One of the Ten Legendary Warriors is now a minor boss character.
- Hot-Blooded: When he gets mad, he gets mad. And starts spewing magma everywhere. It takes a blast of ice from his subordinate Yukidarumon to get him to cool down, both physically and mentally.
- Large Ham
- Laughably Evil: It's hard not to chuckle at him, especially after he "cools down."
- Redemption Earns Life
- Unexplained Recovery: With a dose of Never Found the Body.
IceDevimon
The Bagra Army's commander in the Lake Zone. He leads his forces to besiege the castle in the Lake Zone to get the code crown from Bastemon. He was later demoted for his recent failures.
Voiced by: Yasuhiro Takato
- An Ice Person: As his name implies.
- Back for the Finale: Part of the make-up of Shoutmon X7 Superior Mode.
- Butt Monkey: He gets humiliated a lot in the space of his two-episode arc.
- Cool and Unusual Punishment: His punishment for one too many failures...death by popsicle.
- Even Evil Has Standards: Lilithmon is prepared to cut off Akari's hand to get the Code Crown in episode 11. IceDevimon shudders at that idea.
- General Failure: His armies are sent running many times over. Keep in mind his arc is only two episodes long.
Mugendramon (Machinedramon)
A last-minute weapon for the Bagra army in the Sand Zone. Lilithmon essentially brings him in to wreck everyone. He also likes eating his fellow soldiers.
- BFG: When he absorbs all the mook Scorpiomon and upgrades to HiMugendramon, he gets TWO.
- Humongous Mecha: The largest thing we've seen the Bagra army throw out yet, actually.
- Killer Robot
- Wave Motion Gun: Infinity Cannon, anyone?
Lucemon
Voiced by: Taiki Matsuno
- Beam Spam: His main attack as Lucemon Satan Mode.
- Creepy Child: And after about two minutes into episode 16, you realize he's actually this.
- Demoted to Extra: Originally the Big Bad of Digimon Frontier. Now serves as a lackey to Lilithmon even when it's said that he is the strongest of the Seven Demon Lords
- Light Is Not Good
- Olympus Mons
- One-Winged Angel: Well, twelve actually if you want to get into specifics.
- Meaningful Name: He's named after Lucifer a.k.a The Father Of Lies, is it any wonder he's able to fool an entire zone into electing him leader.
- Smug Snake: Probably even moreso then the last one.
- Vocal Dissonance: After transforming into Lucemon Satan Mode. Big, scary dragon demon with a voice that sounds like Waluigi or Zoidberg.
Kongoumon
The Bagra commander in the Forest Zone. Under Tactimon's command he was sent to hunt down the Taiki, and Xros Heart, but gets beaten easily by Kiriha and Nene.
Voiced by: Tetsu Inada
- Anticlimax Boss: Despite having an entire swam of GranKuwagamon in his disposal, he was Curb Stomped by Beelzebumon.
- And he was even taken care of easily by Kiriha.
- Back for the Finale
Arkadimon
A ferocious Digimon residing in the Digital space which was tamed by Bagramon.
- Big Eater
- NameDar: In a meta sense. Arkadimon was the name Neo gave the one he had, so either he accidentally got the species name right or people in Xros Wars's universe just so happened to give there's the same name.
- Olympus Mons: Very weak compared to his original portrayal in Digimon V-Tamer 01. That said, it is the only Digimon who had no trouble living in digital space and it eats data similar to Lucemon.
Musyamon
A samurai Digimon who was able to take over the Shinobi Zone. He and his army was able to occupy the castle, and has strong lackeys like Shurimon and Gaioumon to back him up.
Voiced by: Takashi Nagasako
Matadormon
A very...odd-looking...Digimon who has a knack for sweets. He was able to take over Sweets Zone, sending its citizens underground while locking up the chefs to serve him delicious meals. He hosts an Iron Chef tournament to see who between WaruMonzaemon or Akari is the Sweets Master.
Voiced by: Hiroaki Hirata
- Absurdly Sharp Blade: His head, hands and feet are!
- Gratuitous Spanish: Ole!
- Lean and Mean
- Sweet Tooth
- Wicked Cultured
Breakdramon
A large mechanical dragon Digimon buried beneath Sweets Zone. It was said that this Digimon was the one responsible for breaking the Digimon World into Zones, and had since then been depowered.
- Immortality: Type X. Uses the data from other Digimon to survive, particularly Cutemon's parents.
- This Is a Drill
Grademon
A warrior Digimon who led a charge against the Sword Zone.
Voiced by: Ryotaro Okiayu
- Back for the Finale: He gets revived along with the other Heel Face Turn characters
- Heroic Sacrifice: Used the last of his strength to pulverize the tower that prevented Xros Heart from leaving Sword Zone.
- Redemption Equals Death: Saves Taiki from being blasted by Tactimon.
- Tsundere
Seven Death Generals
They are the seven powerful Digimon who serve the Bagra Army in the reformed Digital World, each governing a "land". Each hold a Darkness Loader to allow themselves to DigiXros with another Digimon as opposed to simply absorbing them as done by typical Bagra Army commanders. They are supposedly gathering "Negative Energy" for an unknown purpose. Additionally, each Death General has an epithet, the first kanji of which corresponds to a day of the week.
Dorbickmon
One of the Seven Death Generals who serve DarkKnightmon. He is in charge of Dragon Land, and is the first of the seven generals to be battled by Xros Heart and Blue Flare.
Voiced by: Hideyuki Hori
- Chest Blaster: DRAGON BREATH TONIC FIRE!
- Dishing Out Dirt: He can freely manipulate the geography of Dragon Land.
- Flaming Sword: TYRANT COLLBRANDE! Bonus points because it is literally fire shaped into a sword.
- Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: How SiegGreymon finishes him off.
- Instant Awesome, Just Add Dragons
- Large and In Charge
- Red Baron: The Fire-Fury
- Spell My Name with an "S": Dorbickmon is the spelling used by the website, but it isn't surprising that it has variations (Delphicmon, Dorupikkumon, etc.)
- Weaksauce Weakness: He doesn't take pollens too well.
NeoVamdemon
One of the Seven Death Generals who serve DarkKnightmon. He is in charge of Vampire Land, where his fog barrier hides the sun and allows his vampire army to operate constantly. He and his minions are seemingly immortal.
Voiced by: Takaya Kuroda
- Chest Blaster: CARDIAC RAID!
- Complete Monster: It's Vamdemon/Myotismon. Who expected him to be anything else?
- Evil Sounds Deep
- Expy: NeoVamdemon is named after, and shares some attributes with Vamdemon from Digimon Adventure, including sleeping in a coffin, cruelty towards small adorable animals, and his use of a fog barrier to constantly remain active in his country.
- In fact, the end of the final battle against him has a Shout-Out to Digimon Adventure 02, where he states that he can't die...until Beelzebumon steps on his ashes.
- Furthermore, all of his attacks are basically upgraded versions of Vamdemon's.
- Lean and Mean
- Our Vampires Are Different
- Red Baron: The Moon-Light
- Sliding Scale of Undead Regeneration: Type IV, along with his army; though they show signs of permanent damage that he doesn't.
- Spikes of Villainy
- You Will Be Assimilated: He can force a DigiXros with anybody, even his opponents, as MetalGreymon found out the hard way.
- This is what he did to the captured Lopmons, giving him immortality.
Zamielmon
One of the Seven Death Generals who serve DarkKnightmon. He is in charge of Honey Land, where he terrorizes the populace in order to harvest their life and vitality to create "Digi Honey" inside of his massive beehive, which he then uses as a source of Negative Energy for Bagramon.
Voiced by: Kazuki Yao
- Achilles' Heel: Team Xros Heart reasoned that cutting off the source that made him small was the key to defeating him. They were wrong.
- The Archer
- Baleful Polymorph: Averted. Drinking the Digi Honey and becoming small was intentional. He's just fine without it, though.
- Chest Blaster: THE WORLD SHOT!!
- Cold Sniper: Subverted. He's sadistic and cruel, and takes a great amount of joy in taunting his foes.
- Hey, It's That Voice!: His voice is almost identical to Bon Clay and Franky, characters the seiyuu plays in One Piece.
- Hunting the Most Dangerous Game: Tries to pull this on Xros Heart.
- The Hyena
- Manipulative Bastard: He really enjoys experiencing his opponents' fear and despair, and gleefully made Ignitemon and Mervamon fight one another.
- Mini-Mook: What he appears to be, but he's actually pretty damn powerful; he just takes advantage of being nearly impossible to hit at this size. And that's before he's revealed to actually be a Lightning Bruiser.
- Peek-a-Bangs: Doubles with Rapunzel Hair, both forward and backward.
- Pint-Sized Powerhouse
- Red Baron: The Wood-Spirit
- Self-Imposed Challenge: The real reason he shrinks himself.
- Spider Limbs: His tail ends in a hand.
- He uses it load the Indra Arrow (The big red one.) into his chest.
Splashmon
One of the Seven Death Generals who serve DarkKnightmon. He is in charge of Cyber Land. He prefers not to engage his enemies directly, rather manipulating them and causing inside turmoil while being far away or hidden.
Voiced by: Hikaru Midorikawa
- A House Divided: His forte appears to be turning his enemies against one another. Too bad Taiki is Genre Savvy on this sort of things.
- Attack Drone: He can create medium-sized droplets called Dripping that can infiltrate the inside of something.
- Divide and Conquer
- Elemental Shapeshifter: He is actually made of water.
- Informed Flaw: Extreme vanity, and hates to reveal his true form.
- Manipulative Bastard
- Making a Splash: His powers are all this, being that he's made of water.
- Matter Replicator: The Drippin he releases can also replicate something.
- Nigh Invulnerable: Attacks pass through him.
- One-Winged Angel: His moniker of "Water-Tiger" turns out to be Exactly What It Says on the Tin.
- Red Baron: The Water-Tiger
- Voluntary Shapeshifting
- Zipperiffic: They hold in his true form.
Olegmon
One of the Seven Death Generals who serve DarkKnightmon. Even before as a Death General, he is a pirate Digimon aided by Mermaidmon. He is able to brainwash other Digimon by attacking them and then disrupting their thinking via sound waves. He has a history with Ballistamon.
Voiced by: Kozo Shioya
- Affably Evil: Sure, he's a Death General, but unlike the others, he has genuine concern on his crew and he treats them well. He doesn't forcefully DigiXros them to himself. Towards his end, he commends Ballistamon and Shoutmon for being true friends.
- An Axe to Grind: Three words: DUAL TOMAHAWK BOOMERANG!
- Back for the Finale
- Brainwashed and Crazy: Olegmon does this to the Digimon he fights with.
- Hive Mind: GAPPO GAPPO! VIVA OLEG-NA!
- Chrome Champion
- Cool Ship: His pirate ship. Upon dying, he gives it to Xros Heart.
- Familiars: Talkative Surt and silent Jormungard, two spirits that rest in his shoulder pads. This is keeping in theme with his Nordic origins (being vikings and all), as Surt is the name of the fire giant (that's why he's a red spirit) and Jormungard is a serpent (that's why he's a blue serpent).
- Friendly Enemy: He basically weaponizes this one.
- Heel Face Turn: While technically he already did this after dying in episode 41, he admits doing this in episode 51.
- Heroic Sacrifice: Right after Apollomon sends him, Taiki, Dorulumon, and Ballistamon back to the Demon's Nest, he helps out in defeating the remaining GrandGeneramon. He dies in the process, but not without causing much damage to the enemy.
- Hoist by His Own Petard: In the end, he's taken out by Ballistamon, his own creation. To emphasize it even further, Ballistamon blasts Olegmon's own voice back at him.
- Mass Hypnosis: Repeatedly chanting the phrase will cause the Digimon around to lose control.
- Mind Control Eyes: The Digimon he has hypnotized have spirally eyes. Yes, even Cyberdramon exhibits that.
- The Power of Friendship: A rare villain-type - he believes that friends are treasure which serves as backbone to strong armies. That's why he uses brainwashing to gain "friends" while at the same time having a loyal crew.
- Red Baron: The Gold-Thief
- Redemption Equals Death
- Redemption Equals Life: Because he turned on the Death Generals and joined Taiki, he was restored by the Code Crown, along with all the other good digimon
- Shoulders of Doom: His shoulders have huge treasure chests acting both as shoulder pads and compartments!
Gravimon
One of the Seven Death Generals who serve DarkKnightmon.
Voiced by: Shigeru Nakahara
- Complete Monster: Can best be described as a mental torture fetishist.
- Curb Stomp Battle: At first, it looks like he's in the recieving end of one. Then he turns the tables and, in the process, effortlessly curbstomps ZekeGreymon.
- Gravity Master: As one might expect.
- Healing Factor: Like Cell, he regenerates from any damage as long his core is intact. As soon as it is destroyed though, he dies.
- Lean and Mean: Is very, very tall and thin.
- Mind Rape: What he gets off on doing.
- More Than Mind Control: Does this on Kiriha, playing with his feelings and current, already hurt mental condition.
- Orcus on His Throne: At first he doesn't fight at all, just sits on his throne and lets his large armed forces do the battle. Subverted in the end when he does fight and Blue Flare and Xros Heart find themselves in deep trouble.
- Power Floats: His feet don't touch the ground; instead, he levitates a foot above it. Strangely, he still walks (or at least makes walking motions with his legs) instead of just floating from one place to another.
- Rapunzel Hair: Even moreso than Zamielmon. His hair is epically long and is constantly in a flowing motion.
- Red Baron: The Earth-God
- Sphere of Destruction: The Gravity Bomb he uses to kill Deckerdramon.
Apollomon
One of the Seven Death Generals who serve DarkKnightmon. He rules over Bright Land, being treated as a god. Actually, Apollomon's a good guy, but the Bagra Army inserted within him Whispered, a highly malevolent virus program which periodically completely overtakes his body, and that version of Apollomon is the actual Death General.
Voiced by: Hideyuki Tanaka
- An Axe to Grind: Gains one when he goes Darkness Mode. And it's really big too.
- Anti-Villain: Type 4. He's only evil because because of the Whispered program inserted in him brainwashing him, and hates forcing his own people to suffer at his hand, for everyone he causes to suffer, he puts wounds on his arm to keep himself from being at full power.
- Back for the Finale
- Badass Boast: "I am Apollomon the Sun Wheel! The blazing Sun that can even scorch to death its sunspots!"
- Complete Monster: Apollomon Whispered is specifically designed to invoke this.
- Dimensional Travel: SOL BLASTER!
- Energy Ball Up to Eleven: NAGEKI NO TAIYOU! (Sun of Lamentation)
- Heroic Sacrifice: A variation. The good Apollomon basically sacrificed himself along with Whispered when he prevented Whispered from smashing everyone with his death ball.
- And again, he sacrificed himself in Prison Land to allow Olegmon and the heroes to escape before the other Death Generals killed him.
- Jekyll and Hyde: Apollomon Whispered is the Hyde of Apollomon.
- Light Is Not Good: Apollomon is a Vaccine Digimon and he serves DarkKnightmon. He's also based on the Roman Sun god.
- Doubly Subverted. Apollomon is not a bad guy. His other personality is.
- Megaton Punch/Elemental Punch: Two words: PHOEBUS BLOW!
- Panthera Awesome: He looks like a humanoid lion. Considering this is Digimon, that promises a good future for him.
- Playing with Fire: ARROW OF APOLLO!/ARROW OF WHISPERED!
- Red Baron: The Sun-Wheel
- Redemption Equals Death: He does it twice! Even if he wasn't actually evil.
- Running Gag: Well now, guess who took over the series's Running Gag? Especially since he dies TWICE.
- The Starscream: Whispered attempted to do this in episode 48. He planned to use the Xros form of Lilith and Blastmon to kill both Bagras leaders as well as Xros Heart, and even left SkullKnightmon in the process.
GrandGeneramon
This monstrous Digimon is a DigiXros of the Death Generals without their soul. It follows the orders of DarkKnightmon without fail, and is very powerful, that not even Shoutmon X7 could defeat it. It took Olegmon and Apollomon snapping out in Prison Land to weaken it enough.

Cutemon's Parents
Cutemon's parents, who were separated from their son during the Bagra Army's attack on their village. Cutemon finally found them in the Sweets Zone, where he and Xros Heart saved them by defeating Breakdramon.
- Bizarre Sexual Dimorphism: By itself, their difference in appearance isn't that odd. No, it's bizzare in that it's the first example of this trope existing without being a case like Angewomon or LadyDevimon, a different digimon whose a variant on a male-looking one.
