Cerberus Daily News/Characters/Omega Dwellers
Bobert (YahgLadiesMan)
A Yahg that somehow made it off his homeworld, and an incredibly aggressive, irritating, sexually aggressive one at that. Has disdain for all species not its own except when trying to have sex with them.
- Anything That Moves
- Depraved Bisexual
- Small Name, Big Ego: His intro thread was titled "LLLLLLAAAAADDDDIIIIEESSSSS"

A 21-year old human living on Omega, who dabbles in prostitution to make a living.
- Bishonen
- Blondes Are Evil: Subverted.
- Cursed with Awesome: Considers his good looks to be a hindrance, since they prevented him from being taken seriously as a mercenary and make him a target on Omega.
- Drowning My Sorrows: Takes solace in drink and drugs, due to his current situation.
- Fish Out of Water: As a human living on Omega.
- Friendless Background: Grew up as an impoverished human on a station populated mostly by batarians.

- Invisible to Gaydar
Kynigos Notus
Formerly bound by the Compact between the hanar and the drell, Kynigos took up the study of astrophysics to explore the possibility of using Element Zero to cure Kepral's Syndrome, which is the leading cause of death for his people. Unfortunately, the skyhook laboratory he used on the outskirts of Kahje's system was raided. Half of his research team was killed and the eezo was stolen. Kynigos tracked the raiders across the Attican Traverse into the Terminus Systems but the trail went cold at Omega. Far from home and having only a few credits to his name, Kynigos began looking for work and found Cerberus Daily News instead.
- Badass Bookworm: For an astrophysicist, he's pretty handy with a pistol, biotics and tech powers.
- Badass Longcoat: Both in how he wears it and in the circuitry worked into the fabric that generates both standard kinetic barriers and his Tech Armor.
- Beware the Nice Ones: Polite. Soft-spoken. Intelligent. Kind. Can kill you with math.
- Blessed with Suck: Subverted and invoked. Kynigos has spent years of mental training and discipline to control involuntary invocations of his eiditic memory, tying it in with his other senses closely enough to keep him 'in the moment' most of the time. "Most of the time" is the operative phrase.
- Chaotic Good
- Cultured Badass
- Good with Numbers: Theoretically, he can engage people in long discussions on the mathematical basis for his work on magnetohydrodynamics, stellar dynamics and quantum theory. Practically, he can make snap trigonometric caluclations in his head, which informs his Improbable Aiming Skills.
- Guttural Growler: He's a drell.
- MacGuffin: The eezo stolen from his skyhook lab.
- Meaningful Name: 'Kynigos' is Greek for 'hunter'. 'Notus' is the name of the Greek god of the south winds, "the bringer of storms".
- Photographic Memory: See Blessed with Suck.
- The Drifter: Washed up on Omega when the leads on the theives he'd been chasing dried up.
- The Gunslinger: Kynigos prefers carrying a single heavy pistol.
Keron (Wretched Hive)
A paranoid salarian VI salesman who was stranded on Omega after tagging along with a band of hanar extremists. He now lives almost 24/7 in his store and the apartment above, surrounded by a staggering amount of traps and security measures. Roommate of Baruk, a krogan, and Vitas Tun, a volus.
- Asexuality: He's a salarian, after all.
- Crazy Prepared
- Heterosexual Life Partners: With Baruk.
- Hikikomori: He almost never leaves his store, hence his absence from most real-life interactions with his fellow boardmates.
- Properly Paranoid: Considering that he lives on Omega, his over-the-top fear of vorcha, robbers, and vorcha robbers doesn't seem all that ridiculous.
- Wretched Hive: How he refers to Omega. It's in his screennaame!
Rogno Ak'Hran
Rogno is a young batarian man, self-exiled from the Hegemony a mere month ago. His departure had many reasons; the utter failure of his marriage, and his father disowning him among them. Like batarians in general, he is blunt, out-spoken, and honest, which often aggravates others.
He sees himself as a practical and sensible man, yet his beliefs often are not. The political conditioning of the Hegemony is so effective, that often Rogno doesn't even know why he distrusts aliens so much or why thinks them his race's inferior.
Despite his self-exile, Rogno cares for his people deeply, and is quick to retort if someone insults them. Like most of his kind, he blames the humans for his people's blight, and is often blinded by his resentment towards them.
And like his people, his daughter, Hana, has a very special place in his heart. Rogno is deeply regretful for being forced to leave her with her mother, and blames himself for creating such circumstances.
He often jokes about his ex-wife, but it is simply a defense-mechanism. And he knows it too.
- Deadpan Snarker: Rogno is sarcastic and blunt, and is often surprised that others feel insulted by him. He is just honest, after all.
- Jerkass: He is arrogant and racist, but shows signs of mellowing. He, however, doesn't see any fault in his actions. He just states facts.
- The Big Guy: Despite being average height, Rogno is a large man. His body is thick and bulky by nature, and is rather muscular from all his combat sports training.
- Psycho Ex-Wife: According to him, his ex-wife Ara is not a batarian, but a demon.
- Is That What They're Calling It Now?:Likes to make suggestive jokes, often aiming to fluster others.
- Drowning My Sorrows:The events of his life cause him to seek solace in the pint. He doesn't really deny it, but neither is it a problem in his opinion.
- Taking the Kids: His wife managed to get the custody of their only child, and Camalan law doesn't know the term 'visitation rights'.
- Parental Marriage Veto: Ara's family were much lower caste than Rogno's. So, subsequently, Rogno's conservative father didn't appreciate his son's spouse, seeing the union harmful to their family's standing.
- Honor-Related Abuse: Rogno's father threatened to disown him if he married Ara, and when Rogno ignored him, he did so.
- Mixed Martial Arts: Rogno started haraba(batarian boxing) in the army, winning his unit's championship during his last year. He has continued the sport ever since.
- Fantastic Racism : According to a popular batarian belief, beings with less than four eyes are much less intelligent. Krogan, vorcha and humans are thought to be especially dimwitted.
- The Hegemony Makes You Strong: Batarians are a sturdy people. Hegemony rules with an iron fist, and their lives aren't easy. Corruption is wide-spread, there are large shortages, and the authorities often misuse their power. Batarian military is especially brutal, and subsequently produces very fierce and relentless soldiers. Such methods have their downside, of course; it dehumanizes the recruits. War crimes are very common, sometimes even encouraged.
- Brawler: Not the most technical fighter, he compensates this with sheer aggression. If you punch him, he just comes at you harder. Batarians call this way of fighting 'Zukka', which could be translated to mean 'berserking'
- Pardon My Klingon: The translators don't often recognize batarian swearwords. Probably for the best.
- Misplaced Nationalism: Rogno believes batarians were wronged by the humans, and is very vocal in his people's defense.
"Kyesh" / Silas Gray
One of the newer members of the Nialla, the masked and robed Kyesh is one of the few members of the board whose species is relatively unknown. What he lacks in sociability, he makes up for by being sarcastic, snarky, anti-social, and occasionally reclusive. Currently, he serves on the Nialla, for reasons known only to himself, alongside his long-time companion, Naaya, whom he places his faith in to a level that borders on devotion. Kyesh generally tends to comment only on threads that interest him, to pass the time, as his true goal appears to be finding something- or someone.
As of right now he has left the Nialla for good, and appears to be staying on Omega.

Naaya vas Nedas
Kyesh's long-time companion and one of the Nialla's newer arrivals, Naaya is a generally kind-hearted, somewhat ditzy quarian engineer who helped build the ship that got her and Kyesh off Omega, the Transcension. Though her true proficiency is with mechs, Naaya is technologically-skilled, but rather naive. Developed a crush on Mirqurios at one point after watching his adventures on the Extranet, which was later resolved on the Citadel.
Considers the crew of the Nialla, AnaTherion, and Kyesh her friends, and has been trying to find a way to get the latter come out of his shell and resolve his deep-seated issues. As of right now, she's being pursued by someone.

- Make An Example Out Of Them: He pumps a salarian hustler full of lead to show Hemlock what happens when you play games with him. It doesn't work as expected.
- Names to Run Away From Really Fast: His nickname is "Double Tap."
- Pragmatic Villainy: Despite his Hair-Trigger Temper, he knows quite well that he's a small fish when compared to the Big Three, and prefers to manipulate himself past most major problems.
