Korwun Gorik
Gorik is a krogan warlord who was initially retired when he came to the CDN. Recently he has started his own mercenary unit based on Omega, named AEGIS, with the goal of defending the everyday folk who live on the station who usually get screwed over by the various criminal gangs who operate there.
- Big Damn Heroes: Gorik and Dawn pull their own version when a friend is kidnapped by slavers.
- Blood Knight: As affable as he may be, Gorik is still a krogan. He loves a good fight.
- Chaotic Good
- Cool Old Guy: At 732, he's not the oldest poster on the board, but he's definitely up there.
- Papa Wolf: If you mess with his comrades or threaten his friends, there will be hell to pay.
- Badass: Gorik was a mercenary for almost 700 years, he's survived that long for a reason.
- The Atoner: Gorik worked for slavers in his youth, and now he feels that he has a debt to repay by freeing other slaves from their captors.
- Warrior Poet: He is surprisingly well read for a krogan. Gorik appreciates poetry, music and the writings of Sun Tzu.
- We Help the Helpless: The motto of AEGIS.
Bo Timothy Kross (Kage)
A former marine, Kage left the Alliance and turned mercenary in order to better provide for his family back on Earth. Is currently employed with AEGIS
- The Alcoholic: Is quite fond of the occasional drink or two.
- Arch Enemy: On the boards, Dreket
- Catch Phrase: "Welcome to the Madhouse", his personal welcome for any new members.
- Dark and Troubled Past: Has been hinting at this, primarily revolving to his leaving of a small merc group called the Scimitars.
- Deadpan Snarker: Has his moments.
- Don't Tell Mama: Has kept the more shadier aspects of his occupation private from his family.
- Fantastic Racism: Absolutely despises the Vorcha race.
- Jack of All Trades: A competent soldier who is neither a biotic, nor specializing in any unique skills.
- Lawful Neutral
- My Occupation Doth Protest Too Much: Kross often operates under a set of ethics or standards that he feels, separates him from the average perception of a merc as a murderous psycopath. Part of why he joined AEGIS in the first place.
- Nice Guy: For a merc, he's quite friendly towards people who don't try and kill him. Does have his limits though, primarily against slavers or people whom he finds annoying.
- Noble Bigot: Long as you aren't a Vorcha, he's relatively laid-back towards most people.
- Noodle Incident: Why he left the Scimitars
- Screw The Money, I have Rules!: Though he's a merc, he tends to stay away from any jobs that he finds unethical.
- Trademark Favorite Food: Red wine, or for that matter, any combination of good food or alcohol.
Dawn
A human born in the slums of the parisian suburbs, Dawn left Earth at age 13 (or maybe 14). She's been around, settling on a human colony, then leaving to visit Illium, Imorkan, the Citadel, and eventually Omega; she soon found a liking for the station. Now aged 21 (or 22), she clearly has it in for slavers...and batarians. Batarian slavers. This hate was born from personal and, obviously, unpleasant experiences with the aforementioned population.
- Addiction Displacement: There's a reason why Dawn drinks so much.
- Allergic to Routine: Which is why she loves Omega.
- Bad Dreams: She had a bloody childhood. These are a given.
- Big Damn Heroes: Gorik and Dawn pull their own version when a friend is kidnapped by slavers.
- Dark and Troubled Past
- Hates Being Touched
- Improbable Age: Dawn is 21/22, and she's a tech specialist.
- Not So Weak: She doesn't hesitate to kill when threatened. (As the story of her first kill suggests)
Thel'Adean vas Tinketta (Techie Pilgrim)
A young quarian tech who works for AEGIS now since the attack on Discori's base.
- Anonymity Corrupts: Played With, Thel's much snarkier on the extranet yet he's far more vicious in person for obvious reasons. Word of God jokingly went so far as to call him the 'quarian Sam Fisher' at times.
- Badass Bookworm: Built his own hardsuit from stuff he had on hand and fought in the attack on Discori's fortress.
- Bash Brothers: He and the rest of AEGIS have a tight bond that not even money or strife can break, and he will gladly give his life to save a fellow member if needed. Shane, Bo, and Kevla are particularly close to him in the surrogate brother/sister way to boot.
- Battle Couple: With Aniko Tarkov.
- Berserk Button: Don't insult his people. Also, Tupari machines.
- Bi the Way: He's not too picky about gender.
- Boogie Knights: Him + Hardsuit + Afterlife = Epic lulz.
- Covert Pervert: Considering his sexual preferences, he tries hide it whenever possible, not that it helps anyway.
- Deadpan Snarker: He has his moments.
- Good Is Not Nice: He will fuck you up if he has a reason to do so. Just ask Captain Rhodes - actually, he's kinda dead now.
- Heterosexual Life Partners: With Shane Ryder since joining AEGIS.
- Ho Yay: Hilariously, Quarimus sees this with him and Shane.
- Noodle Incident: Would rather not discuss how his return to the Fleet went. Or how exactly he found the Tinketta.
- The Smart Guy: Quarian techie. 'Nuff said.
- Took a Level in Badass: He went from goofy, fun loving Thel to a tech specialist who can hold his own in combat. He's also handy with a blade or two.
- Undying Loyalty: He trusts his fellow squaddies with his life, and they trust him with theirs.
