Sri Ganesha Temple of Alaska
Sri Ganesha Temple of Alaska is a Hindu temple in Anchorage. It is the northernmost Hindu temple in North America.[1][2] The temple is dedicated to Ganesha as well as Durga and Rama.[3][4]

History
In 1995, a group of Hindus started gathering to worship informally in Downtown Anchorage. In 1999, the group began renting a room in the Church of Religion Science, and Sivaya Subramuniyaswami donated a Ganesha murti. With this murti, the Sri Ganesha Temple of Alaska registered as a non-profit charity and religious organization with the IRS in 2000.[5] In 2003, the organization purchased a property on Raspberry Road to house the temple. They renovated the property, installed several murtis, and opened it as a Hindu temple in 2011.[6]
