Preparation

Sodium germanate can be prepared by the fusion of germanium oxide with sodium oxide at high temperatures.

Structure

Na2GeO3 contains polymeric GeO32− anions made up of vertex sharing {GeO4} tetrahedra.[2]

Uses

Sodium germanate is primarily used for the synthesis of other germanium compounds.

gollark: It is currently free of bees.
gollark: It's a tesselation of heptagons/hexagons on the Poincare disc model, if I remember right.
gollark: The people claiming it's pizza are LYING!
gollark: It is indeed hyperbolic.
