War studies
War studies, sometimes called polemology, is the multi-disciplinary study of war. The word derives from Ancient Greek: πόλεμος, romanized: pólemos, lit. 'war, battle') + "-logy".

War studies is a multi-disciplinary program. Students explore the military, diplomatic, philosophical, social, political, psychological or economic dimensions of human conflict. In the context of modern warfare, it considers issues of defence policy, strategic planning, logistics and operations.
