Most Triumphant Example (Sugar Wiki)/F
This is simply what you think is the (not some of the, the) best example of any trope (an objective trope, not subjective, since this already is subjective). The "Crowning Example" if you will.
There could be several reasons you think an example is the best.
- You thinks it's the best in terms of illustrating the trope.
- You think it's the most well done.
- It's your favorite play in that trope.
- You just really like the source material.
Oh, and each troper gets one example per trope, no more. Also, don't go "no, this is," or phrases like that. This is about our own personal favorites.
Please List Tropes Alphabetically.
- Face Death with Dignity
- Bishop Octavian. "I wish I could've known you better." "I think, sir, you know me at my best." *CRACK*
- Seconded.
- Alien 3's Dillon. "You're all gonna die. The only question is how you check out. Do you want it on your feet? Or on your knees... begging? I ain't much for begging. Nobody ever gave me nothing!"
- "No, sir, we are dressed in our best and are going down as gentlemen... but we would like a brandy!
- Bishop Octavian. "I wish I could've known you better." "I think, sir, you know me at my best." *CRACK*
- Face Heel Revolving Door
- Face Heel Turn
- Face of a Thug
- Benedict XVI.
- Angel Densetsu's Seiichiro Kitano. Pretty much the best example of this in Anime and Manga. He's even the page image!
- Failed a Spot Check
- General Stanley, in "Sighing Softly to the River" (the first song of the finale)
- Order of the Stick numerous times. Ninja goblins in plain sight that an entire party misses, huge gates that the Monster in the Darkness can't see, and many more.
- The elderly NPC in Golden Sun: Dark Dawn who spilled his tea.
- Face Palm of Doom
- Scar - Vaeshi3
- Facing the Bullets One-Liner
- Failure Hero
- CHARLIE FRIGGING BROWN!! GAAH!!

- Real Life. Where do we even START? - Malkyrian
- Kingdom Hearts Organization XIII fangirls in particular
- Naruto. Shipping. That is all. - Beta Maxis
- Fallout. No Mutants Allowed, full stop. (Also a very strong contender for They Changed It, Now It Sucks.) - Technogeek
- The Nostalgia Chick business with her and Nella. How many times do Lindsay and Nella have to say that they don't act like that and are best friends in real life? - emeriin
- The Minecraft "fans" who CRASHED THE SERVER because updates were going to be slow that month.
- Doctor Who. Towards ANY Doctor or producer.
- Zero Punctuation. I've never played the game and I sure don't plan on it now, but that review was dead on as always, Yahtzee! Thanks for saving me the effort of forming my own opinion!
- Final Fantasy. When it comes to the games, it's at the point where it's difficult to tell the difference between a legit criticism, and hate fueled by the Nostalgia Filter.
- Even the author admits that Harry/Hermione shippers are "delusional".
- Pixar. OMG Cars 2 had a couple of moments that didn't make me cry as hard as Toy Story 3! Pixar has become DreamWorks and is Ruined FOREVER!

- The more vocal parts of the My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic fandom.

- Fan Myopia:
- Gurren Lagann. It's especially noticable on this wiki.
- Haruhi Suzumiya
- Arrested Development, oh yes, I went there.
- Fan Nickname
- Nanoha. "The White Devil". That particular nickname has become so ingrained into the fandom that one sometimes has to remind oneself that it isn't canon.
- About half the characters in Bleach. Mostly for the captains, though. And many of them are hilarious.
- Seconded
- Claymore "Noodles", the loli of the west.
- Fanon
- Vocaloid. With just voices, dozens of characters and zero canon, it lives off of and defines fanon.

- Fan Translation
- Fantasy Kitchen Sink
- Mahou Sensei Negima: Magic, Kung Fu, Ninja, Demons (and half demons), Dragons, vampires, Humongous Mecha, Samurai, Time Travel, Anti-Magic, Art Initiates Life, Telepathy, Snipers, Magitek...we could go on for hours.
- I'd like to add that Setsuna is a half demon ki powered swordsman lesbian schoolgirl bodyguard with telekinetic knives and wears a maid outfit and cat ears at one point. Not That There's Anything Wrong with That.
- Touhou: The land of Gensokyo, where if people believe it doesn't exist anymore here, it does there.

- Fate Worse Than Death
- The Dementor's Kiss. Any objections?
- The Wicker Man. The original, of course.

- Sergeant Kal Skirata in (Darth) Karen Traviss' Republic Commando books. Many of the character frequently refer to him as Buir: Mando'a for "mother/father/parent."
- Cmdr. (later Admiral) Bill Adama. If adult adoption were legal, everyone would be an Adama.
- Zachary Foxx - show this trope to a Galaxy Rangers fan and watch them start snickering. He's the most blatant about it to the youngest two Rangers (Niko and Shane) who don't have parents.

- Sniper Wolf from the first Metal Gear Solid wins the Final Speech prize for delivering said speech immediately after specifically telling you she was shot in the lung.
