Protea comptonii

Protea comptonii, also known as saddleback sugarbush, or in the Afrikaans language as Barberton-suikerbos,[3] is a tree of the genus Protea in the family Proteaceae. It is found in South Africa and Eswatini.

It was first described as a new species by John Stanley Beard in 1958.[2]

It is threatened by habitat loss.[1] It is protected in South Africa.[3]
