Helicia attenuata is a plant in the family Proteaceae. It grows as a shrub or small tree up to 15 metres (50 ft) tall, with a trunk diameter of up to 30 centimetres (12 in). The bark is dark brown. Fruit is brown, ellipsoid, up to 5 centimetres (2 in) long. The specific epithet attenuata is from the Latin meaning "drawn out", referring to the leaf base. Habitat is forests from sea level to 1,700 metres (5,600 ft) altitude. H. attenuata is found in Thailand, Malaysia, Brunei and Indonesia.[1]
