A Meter Guage Train from Lucknow To Guwahati Awadh Tirhoot Mail used to run until guage conversion happned and BG Avadh assam express was started in late 1980s . Agra Fort To Guwahati Vaishali MG express(via silliguri),Kathgodam to Tinsukia MG Express and Lucknow- Guwahati MG express were long distance trains on MG in lucknow

The 15909/15910 Dibrugarh Lalgarh Junction Avadh Assam Express runs from Dibrugarh via Dimapur, Limding Junction, Guwahati, New Cooch Behar, New Jalpaiguri, Katihar, Barauni Junction, Samastipur Junction, Muzaffarpur Junction, Chhapra, Gorakhpur Junction, Lucknow NR, Bareilly, Delhi Junction, Rohtak Junction, Bhatinda Junction to Lalgarh Junction.
It reverses direction of travel at Bhatinda Junction.
Loco Service
Due to partial electrification of the route, a total of 3 locomotives are assigned to this train.
A Siliguri based WDP 4B/D hauls the train from Dibrugarh up to Katihar handing over to a Ghaziabad based WAP 7 which hauls the train up to Bhatinda Junction following which a Tughlakabad based WDM 3A or Bhagat ki Kothi based WDP 4 powers the train for the remainder of its journey to Lalgarh Junction.
Timings
15909 Dibrugarh Lalgarh Awadh Assam Express leaves Dibrugarh on a daily basis at 9:20 hrs IST and reaches Lalgarh Junction at 05:45 hrs IST on the 4th day.
15910 Lalgarh Dibrugarh Awadh Assam Express leaves Lalgarh Junction on a daily basis at 19:45 hrs IST and reaches Dibrugarh at 16:25 hrs IST on the 4th day.
