A New Journey

Celtic Woman: A New Journey is the second on-stage production by the group Celtic Woman. The show was filmed at Slane Castle in County Meath, Ireland and featured Hayley Westenra as a new addition to the group. The album was released on 30 January 2007. This album broke a long-standing record when it surpassed the 81-week run of the original Celtic Woman album. The Celtic Woman performers change their outfits at least three times (Act 1:White evening gowns and Act 2: Ceili dresses for At the Ceili and Ball gowns).

The tour began on 14 February 2007 in Tampa with initial dates announced through 29 June 2007. New dates for Europe running 22 September 22 to 9 October 2007 were announced in May 2007 along with fall North American dates running 10 October to 17 November 2007 and some Japan dates. The tour finished on 6 October 2008 in Amsterdam.

The album opened at #4 on the U.S. Billboard 200, selling 71,000 copies in its first week.[1] On 29 March 2007, the album was certified gold by the RIAA, signifying U.S. sales in excess of 500,000 units, while the longform video was certified double platinum on the same date.[2]
