Citrix Systems, Inc. is a multinational corporation founded in 1989. It provides server and desktop virtualization, networking, software-as-a-service (SaaS), and cloud computing technologies, including Xen open source products. Though not their only product, "Citrix" (as in "Citrix server") is commonly used as a synonym for "Citrix XenApp" - their break-through product, tracing back to 1995.

Today, they've expanded their focus from virtualization to include access-anywhere products, such as GoToMeeting, GoToAssist and GoToMyPC, though they still maintain a strong presence in virtualization with, in addition to their existing application and desktop virtualization products, their acquisition of XenSource, and resulting leadership role on the open source Xen hypervisor.
