Improved Maiming Strike [Fighter Bonus, Class, Tactical, Melee Attack, Ranged Attack]
3e Summary::Your ability to damage ability scores improves.
Prerequisite: Dexterity 15, Intelligence 13, Weapon Specialization, Maiming Strike, Fighter level 12th
Benefit: Your penalty to your maiming strike attack rolls is reduced to -2, but you can still only attempt a maiming strike once per round and only with a weapon in which you are specialized. Furthermore, the damage you deliver with any type of maiming strike (Strength, Dexterity, or Constitution) improves to 1d3 for simple weapons and 1d4 for martial and exotic weapons. Finally, critical hits delivered with a maiming strike deal 1d6+1 points of damage.
Special: In addition to the normal feat slot, a fighter must spend 750 XP and 4 weeks in training in order to learn this feat. A fighter who spends 1,000 XP and 6 weeks in training, may increase the effective range of this feat to 90 ft. A fighter who spends 2,500 XP and 14 weeks in training, only suffers a -1 penalty to his attack roll when performing a maiming strike.

gollark: There has literally never been a vaccine side effect show up later than 6 weeks after vaccination.
gollark: If a vaccine caused 0.1% of people who took it to die or something, this would have shown up in the clinical trials.
gollark: Is there though? These ones have also somehow become a political issue.
gollark: With how many people are slightly irritated frequently by colds, a vaccine for them would be very good if it did exist.
