History of call letters

WFTW was first licensed on January 6, 1954 to the Vacationland Broadcasting Company of Fort Walton Beach.[1] On February 28, 1979 the call letters were changed to WDIS, but they were changed back to WFTW on the first day of 1981.

The call letters WFTW earlier were assigned to a station in Fort Wayne, Indiana, that began broadcasting August 10, 1947.[2]

In the 1960s and 1970s, WFTW was an FM station in Fort Walton Beach with a “beautiful music” format.

gollark: 802.11s is an open-source standard for connecting wireless devices without having to set up infrastructure. It operates on Layer 2 and makes sure that all nodes can see each other on a bridged Layer 2 network (as if they were all plugged into a switch). Any Layer 3 infrastructure will work on top of this. An IP router and DHCP clients will work well. More sophisticated infrastructure can be implemented depending upon the use case. (eg Batman, Bird, OLSR etc.)
