Morningside, Alberta

Morningside is a hamlet in central Alberta, Canada within Lacombe County.[1] It is located just east of Highway 2 at the intersection of Highway 2A and Highway 604, approximately 36 kilometres (22 mi) north of Red Deer.

Demographics

As a designated place in the 2016 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, Morningside recorded a population of 97 living in 39 of its 40 total private dwellings, a change of 2.1% from its 2011 population of 95. With a land area of 0.25 km2 (0.097 sq mi), it had a population density of 388.0/km2 (1,004.9/sq mi) in 2016.[2]

As a designated place in the 2011 Census, Morningside had a population of 95 living in 37 of its 39 total dwellings, a -11.2% change from its 2006 population of 107. With a land area of 0.25 km2 (0.097 sq mi), it had a population density of 380/km2 (984/sq mi) in 2011.[3]

The population of Morningside according to Lacombe County's 2008 municipal census is 93.[4]
