Edwards, California
Edwards (formerly, Muroc and Wherry Housing) is an unincorporated community in Kern County, California.[1]

It is located 16 miles (26 km) east-southeast of Mojave,[2] at an elevation of 2,356 feet (718 m).[1]
Edwards was originally a base housing site for Edwards Air Force Base and is now a part of the base reservation.
A post office was established at Edwards in 1951 (having been transferred from Muroc).[2]
Climate
According to the Köppen Climate Classification system, Edwards has a semi-arid climate, abbreviated "BSk" on climate maps.[3]
