1968 Illinois gubernatorial election
The Illinois gubernatorial election of 1968 was held in Illinois on November 5, 1968.[1] The Democratic nominee, incumbent Governor Samuel H. Shapiro, lost reelection to the Republican candidate, Richard B. Ogilvie.
