Cao Ang
- Heroic Sacrifice - Does this at Wan Castle in order to help his father escape.
Cao Rui
- Big Damn Heroes - Appears in DW6 to reinforce his grandfather at He Fei Castle.
Cao Shuang
- Dirty Coward
- Evil Counterpart: He's basically Liu Shan without his good qualities.
- General Failure: Tries to imitate Cao Cao's heroic charges, only without doing as Cao Cao actually did and relying on competent strategists to make the heroic charges possible.
- Suck Sessor - Cares more about hunting, drinking and carousing than actually ruling Wei.
- What an Idiot! - Ignores the advice of his trusted generals, who all suggested to fortify the main camp, and orders an attack on Shu's supplies? Surprisingly this comes back to bite him.
Cao Xiu
- Dude in Distress - In Shi Ting, due to Zhou Fang's deception
- Horrible Judge of Character - Following an apparent traitor of the enemy army to a secluded area? Not the best idea.
Gongsun Yuan
- The Starscream - Rebels against Wei, declaring himself "King of Yan."
Wang Guan
- Calling the Old Man Out - Tells his father Wang Ling that his actions against Sima Yi are only making Wu stronger. He does not listen.
- What the Hell, Hero? - Gets called out by his father and his brothers for siding with Sima Yi. Granted he tries to convince them to see things his way, but they all say that there's no turning back.
Wang Ling
- Et Tu, Brute? - Is shocked to see his son Wang Guang fighting on Sima Yi's side.
- Inspector Javert - Truly believes Sima Yi cannot be trusted after he has Cao Shuang killed.
- Well-Intentioned Extremist - Wants to get rid of Sima Yi for the sake of Wei and is willing to ally with Wu to do so.
Wen Qin
- Covered with Scars - On his face. A unique trait to his generic character model.
- Dirty Coward: He and his son don't see eye to eye during his rebellion against Wei in DW8, with him wanting to let Wei's forces be ground down by the other rebels before they take the field. It's sensible from a military standpoint, but his son consider this cowardly.
- What the Hell, Hero? - Calls out Zhuge Dan for his recklessness endangering the rebels while Sima Zhao has proven to be the better man. He does not take this well.
Yu Jin
- Badass: This guy got his credentials in this by facing Lu Bu in battle and winning very early on. Cao Cao noticed this and gave him a huge amount of responsibility.
- Badass Crew - Among the Five Wei Generals
- Bad Boss: You screw up, and he will personally execute you for failure.
- Blade On A Stick: Wields a trident.
- Drill Sergeant Nasty: Is not averse to personally punishing troops who fall short of expectations.
- Jerkass: He is NOT a nice guy most of time. However, he is a very competent at his job, hence why he has Cao Cao's explicit trust.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: If he does happen to find you worthy of praise, he will encourage you to set a good example for everyone else.
Yue Jin
- Badass Crew - Among the Five Wei Generals
- Those Two Guys: He and Li Dian are basically Bash Brothers given how often they are paired up.
