gollark: Given some way to estimate whether a meme is probably derived from another one I could probably do this.
gollark: In lieu of that, it might be possible to track the spread of meme templates via watching reddit (their API is nice). Although I don't know how you'd isolate the template bit.
gollark: It would be cool to have a global surveillance apparatus capable of monitoring the entire internet to track the spread of memes.
