Legislative system of China
The legislative system of China, which refers to the People's Republic of China or the Republic of China (ROC), that encroaches a set of system of laws and regulations generated in China's legal system or more narrowly the system of formulation of such codes by institutions, such as the main legislative bodies of the National People's Congress of the PRC or the Legislative Yuan of the ROC.

In the PRC, there are two main legislative-making organs, the National People's Congress and its Standing Committee. The ROC, however, also has the Legislative Yuan, which is based on the Three Principles of the People, as set by Dr. Sun Yat-sen. Until 2005, the ROC operated the Chinese National Assembly which was enshrined in the 1947 Constitution.
