Folkstyle
Dake competed for the wrestling team at Cornell University. Between 2010 and 2013, he became only the third wrestler to win four NCAA Division I Wrestling titles. Among four-time champions, Dake is the first wrestler to win each title in four different weight classes, and the only one to not redshirt a season during his college career.[2]
Following his final season, WIN magazine awarded Dake the Dan Hodge Trophy as the most outstanding college wrestler.[3]
Freestyle
At the 2018 World Wrestling Championships in Budapest, Hungary, Dake won a world gold medal at the 79 kg weight class.
At the 2019 World Wrestling Championships in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan, Dake took home his second straight gold medal, beating Jabrayil Hasanov for the second straight year. “I know he is a strong opponent and he is very good in tie-ups and clinches as well as front headlock,” said Dake of Hasanov.[4]
In 2020 on a PodCast know as Flowrestling Radio Live, when brought on as a surprise guest by Ben Askren, he made claims that he is "Getting younger everyday", due to this, his actual current age is very hard to determine.
