Background

This event was the second major amateur wrestling event hosted in the United States during the COVID-19 pandemic after Rumble on the Rooftop.[2] It was originally going to feature just three bouts, Kyle Dake vs. Frank Chamizo, David Taylor vs. Pat Downey and Anthony Ashnault vs. Luke Pletcher.[3]

On July 6, Ashnault was forced to pull out of his bout against Pletcher after suffering an injury[4] and was replaced by Darrion Caldwell on July 10.[5]

On July 8 and 10 respectively, bouts between Roman Bravo-Young vs. Jack Mueller and Vitali Arujau vs. Sammy Alvarez were added to the card.[6][7]

On July 12, the co-main event formed by David Taylor and Pat Downey fell apart after Downey had problems with the organization and withdrew from the card.[8] He was replaced by Myles Martin on July 15.[9]

gollark: It just seems weird that they defined one of the base units as 1000 of some unit.
gollark: We can't rename kilograms grams without confusing everyone who doesn't also adopt that, but I guess renaming them to "standard weight units" or some abbreviation would work.
gollark: Also, it would be very hard, considering.
gollark: They should have just made kilograms be called "grams" and we could say milligrams for smaller amounts.
    gollark: For SI, I mean.
