Reactions

The thermal decomposition of tetrahydrate iron(II) iodide produces iron(II) hydroxide-iodide, hydrogen iodide, and water:

FeI2•4H2O → Fe(OH)I + HI + 3 H2O

This reaction takes place at a temperature of over 100 °C.

gollark: I could add that as an actual option, I suppose.
gollark: That was actually a bugged version where it was very slightly biased toward darkness.
gollark: Also, minor apionic issues of some sort.
gollark: It runs with the wondrous performance of javascriptoidal forms.
gollark: Exciting news: I now have fractalart.html.
