Gandhipuram, Coimbatore
Gandhipuram is a commercial neighbourhood and heart of the city of Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu, India. The Regional Transport Office of Coimbatore Central(TN-66) is also located just 2 km from Gandhipuram. Before the emergence of Gandhipuram as the largest shopping and commercial hub, Ukkadam and Oppanakkara Street were considered the heart of Coimbatore city. It is situated in the middle of the city, the place is an important centre for shopping and entertainment, and also a major hub for the intra-city bus services.

Geography
The nerve centre of Gandhipuram is Dr. Nanjappa Road. This road passes through the centre point of Gandhipuram. It is located about 15 km from the Coimbatore International Airport and about 5 km from City railway station, 4 km from Coimbatore North Junction and 10 km from Podanur railway station and is well connected to local bus services to various parts of the city. Gandhipuram shares a border with Ram Nagar, Tatabad, Sivananda Colony, Rathinapuri, Sidhapudur and PN Palayam.[1]
Economy
Gandhipuram is one of the major commercial centers in Coimbatore. Many industries in and around Coimbatore operate their corporate offices from Gandhipuram. Cross Cut Road in Gandhipuram is one of the major shopping areas in Coimbatore city.[2]
Infrastructure
Coimbatore district central jail is in located in Gandhipuram.[3] To ease the traffic congestion, a two-tier flyover is being constructed at a cost of ₹168 crore.[4] The largest stadium of the city, Nehru Stadium, is about 3 km from Gandhipuram. While there are several gardens and park in Coimbatore City, the largest garden and play area is VOC park and zoo.

Gandhipuram has Gandhipuram Central Bus Terminus is one of the major bus terminus in the city. It handles buses towards:
- Moffussil buses towards Erode, Tiruppur,Dharapuram, Salem, Gobichettipalayam, Sathyamangalam etc.
