Air Force Administrative College
Air Force Administrative College (AFAC), located at Coimbatore, is one of the oldest training institutes of the Indian Air Force (IAF).[1]
Aim
The aim of AFAC is to train the officers of IAF regarding clerical jobs and to perfect the typing skills of its officers, thereby enabling them into becoming better ground duty officers. It also conducts training for officers of the Indian Army and Indian Navy and also for officers of friendly foreign countries.
Courses offered
College conducts following courses for in service officers:[2]
- Basic Air Staff Course : Officers (BASCO)
- Intermediate Air Staff Course : Officers (ISCO)
- Basic Professional Knowledge Course : Officers (BPKC)
- Advanced Professional Knowledge Course : Officers (APKC)
- Para Legal Course
The College also conducts Meteorology branch related courses:
- Initial Forecasters’ Course (IFC)
- Advanced Met Courses for Met Tradesmen (SNCOs)
- 2nd Stage Training of GDOC (Met)
