History

The channel was launched on 18 September 2012, replacing Discovery HD Showcase and along with Discovery Channel HD launch.

On 24 January 2013, Discovery channels returned on Numericable.[1]

In December 2016, Altice acquired an exclusivity agreement with NBCUniversal and Discovery Networks[2][3]. Discovery Channel and Discovery Science were removed from Canal on 17 January 2017.[4]

The channel (along with Discovery Channel) had high shares (0,5% in 2014, 0,4% in 2016[5]) before have been removed from Canal.[6]
