History

103.5 Kiss FM (1995-2002)

This station used to be Kiss FM 103.5 during the mid 90s until Ditan became a full subsidiary of UMBN in June 2002. It was then situated at the 4th level of Ayala Center Cebu.

103.5 Wild FM (2002-2015)

Wild FM Cebu used to be on 105.9 MHz (DYWC-FM) in 1994 until the acquisition from Ditan Communications, DYCD Wild FM started in August 2002 with its first site at the University of San Carlos main campus along Pelaez St., downtown Cebu. Wild FM's unique Contemporary Hit Radio (CHR-Dance) format with 20-minute nonstop re-mix every hour soon got Cebuanos shaking and dancing. This not-so-secret formula is the key to Wild FM's air dominance in every area that it operates in, a driving, pulsating beat partnered with a dynamic deejay and spinner.

A series of street parties and barangay disco events firmly established Wild FM Cebu as one of the city's dominant and trend-setting stations. It is Cebu's unofficial dance station, the source and authority of new dance hits and re-mixes. Primary target audience is the 13-24-age bracket A-B-C economic class with the 25–35, C-D as secondary target audience.

On March 27, 2005 Wild FM moved to a new site at Doña Luisa Bldg., Fuente Osmeña, uptown Cebu to get closer to the listeners and clients.

On late January 2015, after almost 12 years on the air, Wild FM quietly ended its broadcast without much fanfare, and went off the air for a month.

103.5 Retro Cebu (2015-present)

On March 16, 2015, the station resumed its broadcast as 103.5 Retro Cebu, this time playing classic hits. In a span of just a few months since it was launched, this station's format change became hugely successful to retro music fanatics and it became a hit. A year later, UMBN's Retro brand in Cebu was later adapted by its sister station in Davao City.

gollark: I see.
gollark: How emailful. I've heard mailserver hosting is kind of horrible because the big providers will arbitrarily flag you as spam, is this accurate?
gollark: Ah, yes, it does ask for an account, how unhelpful of them.
gollark: It looks like they link some datasets too.
gollark: You could try contacting the authors for more information. They mentioned that.
