History

  • In September 1997, Crossover FM Cebu started its broadcast on 93.1 MHz (DYWF-FM) under the ownership of Mareco Broadcasting Network from its original owner, Vimcontu Broadcasting Corporation. Its studios were located at the Mariners Court Building in Legazpi Ext., Pier 1, Cebu City (also co-shared with DYLA-AM). Now, Brigada Mass Media Corporation bought the frequency 93.1 MHz and reformatted as all-news/talk FM radio station 93.1 Brigada News FM that it currently airs today.
  • In October 2003, Mareco Broadcasting Network leased the frequency of 90.7 MHz and at the same time moved to new studios at Doña Luisa building in Fuente Osmena and rebranded as 90.7 Crossover. Prior to this, the station used to be broadcast 90.7 DYAC FM, an all-dance station and 90.7 Energy FM, a Hot AC station under Ultrasonic Broadcasting System, Inc. in 1998 (before it moved to 89.1 MHz in 2003 and later 94.7 MHz in 2004).
  • On December 31, 2019, Mareco Broadcasting Network announced its partnership with Horizon of the Sun Commmunications (producers of Chinatown TV). As Crossover FM and smooth jazz format has migrated online (via its live stream application), Crossover Cebu and other MBN regional stations will be operated by Horizon of the Sun Communications and adopt CHR/Top 40 music format under Q Radio branding, similar to its Manila flagship station.
