Development

The game was designed by William David Volk.[1][3][4] Volk says that at the time he was a fan of the animated series Star Blazers and borrowed themes from the show for Conflict 2500.[5] Volk also explained that he had played the Startrek game and wanted a more complex version of that game.[6]

Reception

Jon Mishcon reviewed Conflict 2500 in The Space Gamer No. 45.[2] Mishcon commented that "Not great, but easily worth [the price]."[2]

gollark: Great*!
gollark: Not a specific person there, just the entire Capitol.
gollark: I should obviously be included in this, but as the Capitol.
gollark: You should add orbital bee strikes.
gollark: Well, I need the latest version of your modpack to do things, see.
