Clarendon, Queensland
Clarendon is a rural locality in the Somerset Region, Queensland, Australia. The origin of the suburb name is from a railway station which was named Clarendon after a nearby lake of the same name.[1]

History
Clarendon Post Office opened on 1 July 1927 (a receiving office had been open from 1873 under the names of Tarampa, Watson's and Clarendon) and closed in 1951.[2]
Lake Clarendon State School opened in June 1902 and caters for students from Prep to Year six.[3][4]
