Bhasha Mukherjee

Bhasha Mukherjee (born 5 November[1] 1995) is an Indian-English doctor, model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss England 2019 and represented England at the Miss World 2019 pageant.[2][3][4][5]

Biography

Born in Kolkata, India, Mukherjee's family migrated to the United Kingdom when she was nine. She went on to University of Nottingham, receiving a BMedSci (integrated as part of the course) and a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery. She is fluent in five languages Bengali, English, Hindi, French, and German.

Pageantry

Mukherjee competed in Miss England 2019 representing Derby, where she won the title. She was crowned by the outgoing titleholder Alisha Cowie, Miss England 2018. As Miss England, Mukherjee represented England at the Miss World 2019 pageant in London, United Kingdom.[6] In April 2020, she decided to cancel the humanitarian work as a part of her pageantry and return to the NHS to work as a doctor in the wake of the 2020 coronavirus pandemic in the United Kingdom.[7]
