Bangladesh Railway Class 2400 is a class of meter-gauge diesel-electric locomotive in Bangladesh, operated by Bangladesh Railway.

Details
Class 2400 locomotives are DL-535 RSD-30 model locomotives manufactured within 1978[1][2] by Montreal Locomotive Works (MLW). Total 12 locomotives were made numbered as 2301-2324.[3] They weigh 72 tonnes and have a power output of 1,400 hp (1,044 kW).[4] They have similar specifications to Class 2300 and Class 2800 locomotives.
Classification and numbering
These locomotives are classified as 'MEM-14', where M = Meter-gauge, E = Diesel-electric, M = MLW and 14 = 14×100 hp = 1,400 hp. Total 12 locomotives are numbered from 2401 to 2412.
Usage
Class 2400 locomotives are heavily used for passenger trains. Initially they used to pull premium trains but due to age, they are used on short and long distant commuter trains and local trains. These locos are basically not used for freight trains.
Maintenance
Class 2400 locomotives are based and maintained in Dhaka and Lalmonirhat rail division.
