Amargeti
Amargeti (Greek: Αμαργέτη) is a village in the Paphos District of Cyprus, located 3 km (2 mi) north of Axylou. Amargeti is located at 391m above sea level and the annual rainfall is about 600 mm. [2][3] The naming of the village, in accordance with the Great Cyprus Encyclopaedia, is possibly connected to the female Frankish name Amargueti, which was really common in the court of the Lousinianians. It must be mentioned, that in old maps, the village is marked under the name “Margieti [4]”.
