Windspinner

The Windspinner was a sky pirate ship, and its primary weapon was a catapult fixed to the front of its aftcastle. The catapult launched boiling wood-tar onto the flight-rocks of enemy ships, causing them to spiral out of control and crash down to the forest floor.[1][2]

In the First Age of Flight

During the events of Cloud Wolf, at the behest of the captain of the Cloudbreaker, Ice Fox, the Windspinner assembled at Wilderness Lair with the rest of the sky pirate armada. Once a plan had been hatched, the Windspinner took part in the Battle of the Great Sky Whale.[1]

After boarding the Great Sky Whale with fellow Galerider crewmate Steg Jambles, Hogmutt from the Fogscythe, and an unnamed brogtroll from the Windspinner, Quint Verginix attempted to loot the ship's treasure room. The swarthy brogtroll from the Windspinner tried to break the door down, but was unsuccessful, and was soon captured by the High Leaguesmaster Marl Mankroyd and his hammerhead guards.[3]

During the events of Clash of the Sky Galleons, the Windspinner fought alongside Cloud Wolf and the Galerider against the Bringer of Doom in the final battle.[2]

In the Second Age of Flight

Because of stone-sickness, the Windspinner was grounded in the Armada of the Dead.[4]
