WotC reasons that since D&D has broad social platforms, their role is not to fulfill one such platform. Quote: "We encourage past and current users to retrieve any information you want to retain from the Community Forums for both Dungeons & Dragons and Magic: The Gathering. The shutdown will occur on October 29, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. PT." We offer users continued access on D&D Wiki, and we ask users to look at DnD Links if they are unfamiliar with social platforms related to D&D.

Dec 29th, 2009	D&D Wiki has been upgraded. MediaWiki is now version 1.15.1. Many extensions have been upgraded and made compatible with the new version of MediaWiki. A list of all the versions present can be found here. Please report all issues you can find to help with a seamless upgrade.
Dec 29th, 2009	D&D Wiki purchased 2x2GB RAM. This should help the server not have to dip into SWAP when dealing heavily with Apache and Squid and make D&D Wiki run smoother altogether. Thanks to everyone who has donated and as always feel free to donate!
