Blobby383b has been an active and prolific contributor here for close to two and a half years, and has been consistently helpful to other users who are having issues with the site. Based on this, I feel the position of an administrator would suit him well. — Geodude

- Questions for the candidate
Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve D&D Wiki in this capacity. Please take the time to answer a few generic questions to provide guidance for voters:
- 1. What sysop chores do you anticipate helping with? Please read the page about administrators and the administrators' reading list on Wikipedia before answering.
- A: As an admin, I will look to continue fixing pages and working on projects on the wiki, just with an expanded tool kit. In particular though, I see myself locking pages that need to be locked, editing locked pages that have problems that need to be fixed, dealing with vandalism, and moving pages without leaving a redirect among other things.
- 2. Of your articles or contributions to D&D Wiki, are there any with which you are particularly pleased, and why?
- A: I would say that two articles hold special places in my heart. The first would be the Wind Blade (5e Class) for being one of the first major projects I worked on extensively with another user, Gamegeniecentral and because during this period I learned a lot of the ins and outs of making a class and how the wiki worked in general. The second would be the Equipment Design (5e Guideline) because it both allows users who are not to familiar with making equipment to learn some of the ins and outs of making equipment and because of the sheer amount of work and research I put into it.
- 3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- A: The two conflicts that affected me the most would be the situation with Xslasher112 and what happened with GamerAim's 2nd rfa.
- I remember the situation with xslasher, mainly because I got frustrated that despite my efforts to fix up the items so they could be usable by anyone playing 5e and to explain why the items they made had problems, they reverted/got rid off the balance changes to the items and removed maintenance templates. After my lengthy breakdown of the problems the items had on my talk page, I believe I contacted an admin(GamerAim) so they were aware of the situation and try to tactfully deal with the situation as at the time I was unable to. Because of this, I look back at this situation with both some regrets and appreciation for what I slowly realized I learned from it. I do regret that I wasn't more communicative with the user and that the situation was not diffused. On the other hand, I did learn to become even more communicative with my edits both when needed and when not needed, even if it is just explaining the edits in the edit summary so more users can understand where I am coming from with my edits.
- Truthfully, the situation that happened with GamerAim affected me a lot. Although I can't even remember the details of what happened at this point, the huge debate and ensuing chaos tore my emotions to shreds. It really hurt to see many of the users who I had grown to be friends with on the wiki, and the very same users who had taught me the ropes of how to do things on the wiki, tear each other apart. Because of this and some personal reasons, I took an extended break from the wiki to figure things out. One thing I did learn while I was gone was that I didn't deal with toxic situations well, though even in negative situations, I try not to reciprocate the hate or negativity. With that said, as time has gone on I have gotten better at talking things through with users and in general communicating. Again, most major edits I make on pages have some sort of explanation behind why the edit is being made. Just a while ago, I mentioned what problems a page had on its talk page and worked them through with its creator, User:Endermage77, explaining things and helping to fix up said item. I have also interacted with and helped out a variety of users throughout my time on dandwiki on many different 5e projects, both small and big. Finally, I can say that as long as I continue to browse the wiki, I will continue to try and be levelheaded, do my best to help users, and do whatever else I can do better the wiki, as it has been a favorite activity of mine for some time and I would rather see it flourish then destroy itself.

- I hardly know what needs to be said that isn't obvious already. Blobby383b is an excellent candidate in all aspects. His knowledge of D&D rules as well as the ins and outs of wiki stuff is exemplary. Personally, his temperament and his character are perfect for the position, and he has repeatedly demonstrated good skills at working with others. I say, it's about time! The world needs bullies. Remember to thank a bully today! (talk) 17:59, 20 January 2020 (MST)
- As one of the users whom he has helped, as well as someone who has personally observed him cleaning up articles and fixing pages with problems I've noticed, I support this nomination. — ZarHakkar (talk) 18:07, 20 January 2020 (MST)
- He's helped patch up the Huntsman, so he has my respect. Just needs to show his face on Discord more. Glass (talk) 19:03, 20 January 2020 (MST)
- Great with people, great with D&D knowledge, great with wiki editing, etc, etc, etc. A handful of us have waited OVER a year for this user to accept this role. Red Leg Leo (talk) 19:57, 20 January 2020 (MST)
- I don't really know if I'm allowed to comment, but I'm all for Blobby to become admin. He's really nice, informative, and even when I'm bothering him with a bunch of stuff that probably doesn't mean anything to him, he's really patient with me. I think it would just be sad if he didn't become admin. Flamestarter (talk) 14:53, 22 January 2020 (MST)Flamestarter
- The admin tools will really help Blobby383b around the wiki. Blobby383b also has the knowledge of how to use the tools, and the experience of when not to. Granting Blobby383b adminship will be useful for his continued presence around D&D Wiki. --Green Dragon (talk) 23:39, 23 January 2020 (MST)

gollark: Besides, stuff isn't as far along as the first four panels say.
gollark: If someone had accidentally made unaligned AGI, we would have bigger problems.
gollark: I see.
gollark: About what?
gollark: This doesn't say anything about *how* they're using it or how much, but it's pretty clear that it is not actually declining in users overall.
